40 Days of DVF: Day 34

Red and Black Jeanne Wrap Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Black Legacy Bag c/o JustFAB! (Buy here) | Monte Claude Peeptoe Pumps Christian Louboutin (Similar here) | Gold Pen Necklace Kate Spade | Rose Gold Watch Marc by Marc JacobsI can’t believe I only have 6 posts left in 40 Day series. 40 days initially seemed like a long time, but now it seems like it wasn’t enough time to share my entire collection.
Today’s post features another wrap dress. The biggest difference between my wrap dresses is noticed in my sleeve’s length/style. Longer sleeves are perfect to wear on warmer days so I don’t need a jacket. This particular dress is one I found on eBay.  Surprisingly I have found a lot of items on eBay, but I don’t often share what I buy on their. It can be a hit or miss sometimes and one bad experience can make you weary of buying anything else. This one is from my early days on eBay and I bid on it because of the interesting print. I like how red looks on me and even more so when it is in a flattering silhouette.
The shoes are also a find on eBay, and they were a steal! I should wear them more often, but I won’t wear open-toe shoes unless I’ve had a pedicure. I think the biggest reason I am not on eBay shopping as much as I used to is because of the lack of room I have for any new clothing. I’ve also invested in some good pieces, so I don’t need to be bidding on other items all the time. I styled this dress again with my Kate Spade Necklace and Marc by Marc Jacobs watch, showing I can reuse pieces I’ve splurged on.
Thanks for checking out Day 34, and I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 35.

40 Days of DVF: Day 33

Blue and White Print Gizela Wrap Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Black Legacy Satchel c/o JustFab! (Buy here) | Teal Patent Pumps Giuseppe Zanotti | Gold Pen Necklace Kate Spade
I feel I am like a broken record when I talk about the wrap dress. I’ve said it is classic, it is versatile, it is timeless over and over again. And, while I might not have anything new to say regarding this wrap dress, I will say it is one of the few I bought new and only because it was a steal. But, sometimes designer names and a good price will make me forget what size I am in a store. I actually own wrap dresses ranging from size 0-10, and I am definitely pushing it when it comes to trying to wear an 8. It was hard to resist buying this one despite it being a little bigger than I’d like. I just enjoyed that it had different ties at the waist (thinner than other wrap dresses) and it is in an interesting print. I kept the tags on it thinking I’d return it, but now I have it listed on +Poshmark in case anyone else wants to buy their own DVF wrap dress at a heavily discounted price. I only wore it for this photo shoot and if it doesn’t sell, I will more than likely keep the dress and wear it exactly like how I styled it here. I recognize I am kind of a shopaholic, but I am trying to recover thanks to Poshmark. Although, I don’t see why I shouldn’t just keep it, I have the matching shoes after all. 😉

Thanks for stopping by today and I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 34.

40 Days of DVF: Day 32

Brown Kimono Mini Wrap Dress Diane von Furstenberg, | Rose Gold Watch  Marc by Marc Jacobs | Gold Lima Ring Gorjana rented via Rocksbox | Gold Pen Necklace Kate Spade | Signature C Bag and Wedges Coach
It is June! I can’t believe May is already over and Summer is just around the corner. While Summer’s in the Bay Area are not entirely hot, there are days when it is over 80 degrees and I am stumped with what to wear to the office. This dress is great for appropriate for a day in the office and it is light and airy for a warm/hot day.
I love the this kimono mini wrap dress and especially love the textue it has. For a more summery feel, I paired it with my Coach wedges and matching Coach tote.  You’ll notice I have some repeat accessories like the rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs watch and Kate Spade pen necklace. I think the watch will become a final touch to all of my outfits just like my pen necklace has become.
Hope you had a great weekend and I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 33!

40 Days of DVF: Day 31

Pink Izzie Solid Trench Diane von Furstenberg | Sunglasses Diane von Furstenberg | Ring Forever 21 | Nude Pumps Steve MaddenFor today’s DVF post I thought I’d focus a little on outerwear. When you have a great trench coat, it sometimes does not really matter what you are wearing underneath. I found this piece along with my dress from yesterday at the Crossroads Trading Co. in San Jose. It fits me slightly a little too big, so I will be posting it on Poshmark soon. I do love the button detail in the back as well as the bright color, so I will be sad to see it go, but glad to see it going to a good home.
See you back here tomorrow for Day 32!

40 Days of DVF: Day 30

Pink and Black Keena Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Gold Necklace Forever 21 | Green Clutch Banana Republic | Lorissa Spiked Heels Sam EdelmanTGIF! I can’t believe I only have 10 more days until my blog series is complete! I am so proud of myself for making it this far and for Armando being patient with me.
Today is typically every couples date night, and this outfit is something I would wear for a dinner downtown or to a more upscale bar. Out of all the dresses I’ve shared during this series, this dress is one of Armando’s favorites as he likes how it flatters my curves. The sleeves are also slightly see-through and the back shows some skin, but it is not overtly revealing. I am showing a lot of leg, so the long sleeves and high-neck balances that out.
This dress was another one of my Crossroads Trading Co. finds, this time from the one located on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. It was my first time visiting that Crossroads and I definitely was amazed with how big it was. I walked away with a lot of goodies – including the dress I wore for my first post in this blog series. I love how I can always find something at Crossroads, whether it is for work or for something a little more special.
Hope you enjoy this look and enjoy the last 10 I plan on sharing! Until tomorrow,

40 Days of DVF: Day 29

Black Demeta Dress Diane von Furstenberg (Buy here) | Belt H&M, Silver Wing Cuff  Forever 21 | Black Quilted Clutch Forever 21 (Buy here) | Silver Logan d’Orsay Heels Jimmy Choo | Jackie Ohh Sunglases  Ray-Bans
I’ve been sharing so many colorful outfits during this series that U have not had a chance to share any of the black dresses in my DVF collection. With only 11 days left, I am not sure I’ll be able to wear every piece, but I hope I can share a few more of my favorites. This dress was originally an eBay find, but I quickly discovered I own too many black dresses and this one never was worn after I purchased it.
Working on this series has pushed me to actually wear pieces I normally wouldn’t wear either because I am saving for a special occasion or because I don’t want it to rip/tear/or get stained. Sometimes my clothes are like a work of art and I sometimes just want them to be displayed. Having to try and wear everything again after not seeing something on myself for awhile has helped me determined what I should keep and what I should let go of.
This dress is one of those items I need to let go of, and while I like how it looks on, I have way too many black dresses (especially DVF black dresses.) Don’t get me wrong, I love the ruffle and pleated details on this clasic sheath, but it is also too cute to not be worn! It is listed on my closet on Poshmark in case you want to get your hands on it and can actually wear it. I have it styled with a clutch I also have listed for sale. I wanted to style this dress for a dinner date because of its classic shape with modern twists. Although I did not go out for dinner in this, (I stayed in to enjoy a yummy dinner made by Armando), this dress could work from going to a day at the office with different shoes and accessories to a romantic night out. I am all about versatile pieces and nothing is more versatile than a little black dress.
Thanks for checking out today’s post. See you tomorrow for Day 30!
