Celebrate Ugly Sweater Day at Macy’s

The holiday season is upon us and I’ve received a few invites to Ugly Christmas Sweater parties. I have avoided buying an ugly Christmas Sweaters in the past because they seemed a little too trendy, but it seems to have become a holiday wardrobe staple that isn’t going away anytime soon. I have yet to purchase a Christmas sweater for the parties I am attending later this month, but luckily Macy’s has a great selection that I’ll be checking out this Friday in San Francisco during their Ugly Sweater Day Party.

Macy’s in Union Square will be hosting this free event on Friday, December 16th at 5 PM. There will be hot cocoa, cookies, a DIY station and plenty of holiday sweaters to browse. I’ll be on the hunt for a sweater I won’t get tired of anytime soon, but I’d also love to pick up the gingerbread house cross body bag pictured above!

If you are not in SF, check out Macy’s event website to see what other free events are happening for the holidays.

See you there!

Macy’s flagship store in Union Square will be hosting a Rachel Roy shopping party where you can shop the limited edition RACHEL Rachel Roy collection featuring artwork by graffiti artist and legend SenOne.

Macy’s Style Event at San Francisco’s Macy’s Men’s Store

I don’t get the chance to share much about men’s fashion or style. Armando, my photographer and significant other,  does not really enjoy being in front of the lens for fashion shots, but he does like dressing up when he is inspired.

He also enjoys shopping, albeit not as much as I me, but I don’t think I am going to have to work to hard to convince him to join me Thursday, November 3 at 6 PM at San Francisco’s Macy’s Men’s Store for the kick-off of the semi-annual Men’s Style event.

Besides being a fan of free events with tasty refreshments, he’ll be able to enjoy 25% off Men’s purchases of $75 or more. Even if he doesn’t take advantage of this sale, I might to get an early start on my holiday shopping for the men in my life.

The best part of this event? Celebrity stylist Keylee Sanders will be present offering styling tips on Macy’s fall trends. You can join in on the party and shop new fall looks for men too! Details for the event can be found here, but check out Macy’s website to see what festivities are happening near you http://bit.ly/MensStyle16.

If you can’t join the day of, follow the event on Instagram and Twitter by searching #MacysFashion.

Hope to see you at the event!

Macy’s Culinary Council Presents Todd English

By now I think it should be of no surprise that I am a fan of cooking demos. One of my favorite shows on Netflix is Chopped and I love seeing how creative chefs can be with food. Seeing a cooking demo live is always a treat and with summer get-togethers just around the corner I wanted to let you know that this Saturday, June 11 at 1PM, Chef Todd English will be hosting a cooking demonstration at the Macy’s in the Westfield Valley Fair Shopping Center in Santa Clara, CA.
Chef English will be sharing some of his favorite award-winning dishes for Summer in his demo and plenty of delicious samples will be available to nibble on. No event is complete without a good deal, and any purchase of $35 or more in the Home department will result in a special gift from Macy’s.

This event is hosted by the Macy’s Culinary Council and tickets to the demo are free! All you need to do is RSVP for a seat and to secure your samples. RSVP to the cooking demo at toddenglishmacysvf.eventbrite.com.  You’ll get a $10 Macy’s Gift Card to use at the event when you RSVP. If you’d like more information for the event, you can check out Macy’s events page here. I recommend arriving early to get a seat, but also to shop and take advantage of the gift card.
I’ll be away for the weekend and will unfortunately be missing what sounds like a fun event, but let me know if you are attending!
