Levi’s x LOOKBOOK Global Style Party SF

My third party of the night on Thursday! I heard about this event through The Sixth Tractate’s Instagram account. LOOKBOOK.nu and Levi’s collaborated to throw this global party in celebration of their 501 jeans with the LOOKBOOK community.
This event was held at The NWBLK on 1999 Bryant Street. I did not know what to expect, and it was DIY heaven once I walked in! There were stations to use puff paint, add studs, and even a tailor station to have your 501 jeans personalized.

The music was playing, appetizers were paraded around, and there was an open bar! Elise and I ordered two lemon drops and took our photo together at the photo booth.

Soon after we were joined by our blogger friends KT and Sabrina, who also attended Ladies Night at Mira Mira, and we took a photo together at the party. So odd that our outfits coordinate really well! I likened it to the cover of a Sex and the City DVD, except we are not in New York and none of us are single!

I was very lucky I had a chance to meet Crystal (in the pink shorts) and Sue Anne (in the middle wearing the  long skirt) from the blog The Sixth Tractate. I adore the photos on their blog, but most of all, Sue Anne’s writing can be very poetic. It is always so cool for me to meet bloggers in person and finding out that they are as down-to-earth and genuine as they sound on their blog.

This was a really fun party and Armando took some great photos and he even won a free pair of 501 jeans! He was initially resistant to attend 2 events in one night, but the free food and free pair of Levi’s made the trip to SF after work worth it.
This concludes my long night out on Thursday. I’ll be featuring the amazing lobster cupcake masterpiece in my next post! You’ll understand then why I lost a ton of sleep once you see it!
Until next time,

Summer Wedding

Green Strapless Dress and Faux Pearl and Gem Bracelet H&M | Cream Shrug Wet Seal Gold Metallic Clutch NY&C | Gold Glitter Ulltra Heels Steve MaddenSummer time would not be complete without at least one wedding to attend.
The ceremony was held in the historic San Juan Bautista mission, and my photo was taken right outside in the garden. The whole area is really pretty because it is a small town interested in preserving its history.
The reception was held a little ways away in Hollister, and the hall was magnificent! The colors of black, white, and teal really complimented each other. The food was very filling, and I loved the red velvet cupcakes that they served. I then proceeded to dance the night away. Overall, it was a lovely summer wedding!

For my outfit I reused my glitter heels from this week, and I generally go with floral or chiffon dresses for weddings. The ceremony was a little later which suggested cocktail attire was more appropriate. My favorite piece is the bracelet because it makes a huge statement and was the only accessory I really needed.

I want to go to another wedding now just to dress up again!

Girl’s Night Out

Magenta Kimono Sleeve Tunic Twelve by Twelve | Black Pants, Patent Bow Belt, Pearl Headband Forever 21 | Black Glitter Heels Madden Girl (here) | Photos by Nicole S.This has been an interesting week, with me trying new things and stepping out of the norm. I was invited to see Men of Exotica at Bankers Casino by my mom. The weather was really chilly, especially in the evening, so I wanted to dress up and be warm for girl’s night out.

I picked up the magenta tunic on sale at Forever 2. I love the color of this tunic, and the pearl and rhinestone detail running down the front. The headband also has the same detail. However, my favorite detail has to be my glitter black heels by Madden Girl. I remember purchasing these with my good friend Lorena Lopez at Ross after we had met up to eat desserts. Instead of having friendship bracelets or necklaces, we have friendship shoes. We purchased the exact same pairs of heels and they are actually pretty comfortable.
The show started later than expected, but it was hilarious. While I don’t want to give out too many details, I will say that many of the women were excited and things definitely did happen on and off stage. My best memory will be that of laughing and cheering with my mom and younger sister and just having a girl’s night out.
What would you wear to this type of event?
