This dress is simply the best! Great shape, great fit, and great detail! I missed out on Zac Posen’s collection when it initially launched at Target, and I would see this dress on eBay for around $50 and up. With my college budget, I wasn’t about to add it to my closet. Then fate intervened, and right before I left Buffalo Exchange empty handed, I checked out the dresses and, and lo and behold, there it was. Hanging in my size new with tags for less than $20 – it was meant to be! 
So if you ever miss out on a piece you’ve been eyeing but can’t splurge at the moment, have patience. Good things will surely come your way if you do. Especially if you miss out the exciting pieces from Prabal Gurung’s latest collaboration with Target! Something to look forward to on Valentine’s Day. White Princess Coat, Black Patent Ulltra Pumps Steve Madden, Black Dress Laundry by Shelli Segal, Necklace Wet SealHere is my favorite white princess coat I wore on Tuesday! I actually have been wearing the black version of this frequently to work, more often than this one. This one is a little bit harder to wear only because it is white and I would hate to get it dirty!
 It is so silly that I fear getting clothes dirty because then I am less likely to wear them. I have to remind myself that the reason I have something is to use it! I know bloggers love to share their favorite items in their closet and talk about how often they wear it. I am the complete opposite. I see some of my items as works of art, especially my designer heels, and dislike the idea of messing them up. I am working on that little quirk of mine so that I wear what I have and not buy more clothes.
I am very proud to say I have also been able to avoid buying any new clothes this month! Woo hoo! I will be attending a fashion event next Wednesday that will be hosted by Crossroads and I might be buying something if I absolutely must have it. I cleaned out my closet and took some clothes to sell last night and made enough for 1 or 2 things at the shopping event. I am trying to be as eco-friendly after all.

Black Blazer Michael Michael Kors, Floral Top, Black Pants, Ring Forever 21, Coral Bag BCBG Generation,  Flats J.CrewSunday I delivered my cupcakes for a birthday party. (Photos coming Wednesday!) I aimed for a polished look since I was going to be a guest at the party too.
This bag is special to me because I won it at a raffle when I attended my first F.A.S.T. fashion show at Berkeley. I spent $2 on raffle tickets and right during intermission my name was called out for it.
Sometimes I can be really lucky.=D

Navy Blazer, Black Pants, Rings Forever 21, Red Sweater New York & Co., Red Quilted Purse Kate Spade, Gold Flats  Coach, Scarf Marc Jacobs, Watch Marc by Marc JacobsIf I was wearing my computer glasses in this photo, I would look like I was ready to go back to school!

I received this purse as a gift from one of my coworkers because she believed I would use it more often than her and it was too beautiful to not pass down to a good home. Hopefully I have made her proud by pairing a classic, quilted bag in a bold color with a navy, red-pinstriped blazer.

This outfit is similar to yesterday’s, but I wore flats today because I running errands around campus all afternoon. So I technically was at school in my preppy get-up. I love this bag and I am excited about wearing it with other outfits. It is not my typical color choice because a neutral like black is always safe, but I like the bold red color of the bag.

On a side note, I am thinking of changing my blog name because of all the positive feedback I have received sharing photos of cupcakes and events that I have covered. What do you think? I am open to suggestions. My goal is to purchase my domain name once I complete a year of blogging (which is coming up soon!)

I like that most of the pieces are inspired by menswear. Adding the heels gives the right amount of femininity to balance the masculine pieces.
I have been wearing this scarf a lot and I don’t believe I will be stopping anytime soon. I usually try not to wear something too much because I end up wanting to preserve it, but this scarf just works with everything in my closet and it is perfect for this weather.
Thank you for all the nice comments regarding the cupcakes my sister and I made! They are very encouraging and I am looking forward to sharing more photos of cupcakes I make in the future.
