Coat and a Wrap Tunic

Tweed Black Coat Bebe | Floral Print Renny Wrap Tunic Diane Von Furstenberg |  Black Leggings H&M | Suede Bonanza Black Boots Steve Madden This outfit post is late because I slept the entire way and fell asleep right away once I arrived in Salinas, but I had to share this wrap tunic, or dress, is from one of my eBay purchases 2 months ago. It surprised me how short it was when I opened it from the package it was in. Whenever something is questionably short, adding opaque tights or leggings can make it instantly chic!
I love the sleeve shape and obviously, I am a big fanatic of this floral print. I have purchased a top seen here and another dress seen here with the same print. I love black and white with a touch of pink, and this wrap has such a fun shape overall.
This overcoat is by Bebe and also a thrift store find. It looks very classy and perfect for nights out as it has enough shine. I was very cozy and warm in it during the drive back to Salinas.
Looking forward to posting my Thanksgiving outfit and I hope you are having a Happy Thanksgiving!

Rain Boots

Black Jacket Marc Jacobs | Black Sweater, Jeans, and Spike Ring Forever 21 | Black Tsunami Rain Boots Steve Madden | Graffitti Floral Purse Coach Poppy | Grey and Black Signature “C” Umbrella Coach | Red and Black Scarf Purchased in France |  Faux Diamond Stud Earrings GiftHappy Friday!
After my two blue and black outfits, I decided to end the week mixing in some red with black. It was also time to wear my hair up. My look was all inspired by my new boots I found on eBay. I just received them this week, and I am so proud of myself for wearing them right away!
I love rainy weather only when I can be indoors drinking tea or hot chocolate and watching a movie in a cozy cardigan or blanket. Looking forward to a quiet weekend where I can do that too. I find it difficult to figure out what to wear when it rains only because having only one pair of boots can be so limiting with what it works with. I should look for some that are more colorful, and maybe that will increase my options.
What do you wear with your rain boots when it rains?

Navy Blouse

Navy Ruffle Blouse Diane Von Furstenberg | Navy Beanie, Jeans, and Gold Ring Forever 21 | Gold Love Birds Buckle Belt H&M | Black Leather Zeda Boots Steve MaddenFirst item I wear from my Crossroads Trading Co. shopping party purchases: A lovely Diane Von Furstenberg navy blouse. The details are simply stunning to me, and in my mind I already pictured quite a few outfit ideas with it.
I dressed up a designer piece with quite a few low-end items. I wanted to mix navy and black, and I added some gold accents. The bird belt not only fit the color scheme I was going for, but gave the top a more feminine shape. I am really into matching details, and the detail of the beanie goes perfectly with the stitching of the blouse! The boots were also chosen to go with the little leather detail in the belt.
Sometimes I feel like such a square for going the easy-route and going with what obviously matches. My resolution should be to try wearing things that are not too matchy-matchy, but we’ll see how that goes.

Red Knit Scarf

Black Peacoat, Leggings, and Owl Ring Forever 21, Long sleeve top under coat and Red Plaid Skirt Wet Seal, Grey Boots Bamboo, Red Knit Scarf Handmade; Guest: Bella I typically name my post based on the first item I choose to pick when getting dressed since I revolve my outfit around that item. Today I am doing things a little differently and choosing the last piece I decided to wear as this post’s inspiration.
I picked out the skirt first and worked a warm, outfit around it and realized I needed (or wanted) a splash of color to complete my look. I found this red knit scarf after raiding my mom’s dresser. Little did I know it had a little story to it. My great-grandma had knit this scarf and this is the first time I had worn it. My grandma shared this story with me, and it felt almost too precious to be worn. How often do you find items handmade by a great-grand parent? I packed it away back where I found it, folding it neatly, and hoping my great-grandma is glad I brought it out to keep me warm on a chilly Sunday.
(Bella enjoyed playing outside on this chilly day too as you can see! She attacked my boots during while my sister took my photos and was running around chasing leaves. She has so much energy these days!)

Ugg Boots

Cream Pleather Bomber Jacket, Brown Sweater, Jeans, Stud Ring Forever 21 | Signature Print Brown Purse Coach | Brown Boots Ugg | Scarf  (Borrowed via Mom’s closet)A cozy Saturday outfit! I was really cold and felt like wearing some warm boots. While I don’t think Ugg boots are the most stylish boot, they are very warm and I am lucky my sister and I wear the same shoe size because these are hers! I own a black pair and she will occasionally wear those too.
I went with a Fall color scheme choosing a cream bomber and colorful scarf to tie in the colors with the boots. Despite my efforts, I was still cold, so may need to start wearing really thick coats now. Such a strange change from summer weather only 5 days ago. I am loving the cold, nippy air and how it is signaling the closing of the year.
I am excited mostly for all the glam and glitter associated with holiday outfits I have planned. Whenever I dress down I am always thinking of dressing up and vice-versa. (This is what I do when I am people watching- seeing someone dressed up when I am dressed down inspires me!)
Anyways, hope you are having a nice, cozy weekend too!

Peter Pan Collar Top

Cardigan via Crossroads, Headband, Bangles, and Ring Forever 21, Peter Pan Collar Top and Black Velvet Skirt Erin Fetherston for Target, Black Suede Overpas Boots Steve MaddenLate outfit post from Thursday! This daily savings time change really has thrown off my photo shoot schedule, and it is very difficult to take a photo during the day (except if it is a weekend).
I am in love with all the items that Erin Fetherston designed for her collaboration with Target a few years ago. It was only recently that I started hunting those items down on eBay (such as this top and skirt) at really low prices. Her items draw me in because they are girly and whimsical. You can see me wearing her other items here and here and you will understand why I am almost obsessed with this collection! I admire the detail in this top as well, with its Peter Pan collar, pleats, and satin covered buttons! Very cute tucked in this skirt. It has 3/4 sleeves which I forgot to take photos of. This just means I will have to wear it again soon.
Time to enjoy the 3 day weekend!
