A few weekends ago, I spent my weekend “living” in the city. Armando and I spent the final Saturday morning of June at the NorCal Corgi Con at Ocean Beach and then I made my way to make ice cream, souffles and eclairs with my fellow blogger friends and Maison Jules. We finished our Saturday watching Inside Out with a couple of friends (and I loved it!)
Sunday we made our way over to Golden Gate Park for a free concert hosted by Alice 97.3 featuring Elle King, Rachel Platten, Matt Kearney and Kelly Clarkson. Getting dressed for the morning. The concert was a blast, and the weather was perfect for the day! We found a great spot to set out our picnic blanket and Armando took some great shots during the performance.
I knew I wanted to wear something that would be appropriate for the concert in the park. I’ve never been to a music festival, so I think I channeled something more boho than I would normally go for. I started out with my floral print kimono and really wanted the neutral pieces I paired with it to stand out. I scored the jeans recently from Crossroads Trading Co. and they are the most comfortable pair of jeans I’ve ever purchased. I don’t normally opt for boyfriend jeans, but I don’t understand why!
My other favorite piece in this outfit is actually my watch. The Koa & Rose Gold watch, from JORD’s Cora series, is a nice neutral. When I first received it, I wasn’t too sure what I would wear it with, but it does in fact go with everything! Since I was using my phone a lot throughout the weekend for photos, checking it for the time felt like a waste of my precious battery (and made me realize I should invest in a portable charger). Luckily I had this pretty watch to look at to keep track of time and to provide an earthy element to my boho look. This watch is part of the first automatic timepieces for JORD and comes in a variety of other colors. I was pretty tempted getting the Zebrawood and Turquoise or Maple and Lavender, but I had been on a Rose Gold kick lately and really felt this fit my style.
I will note that the packaging for this watch was on point! It came in a wooden box (so cute!). Measuring the sizing of my wrist for it to fit perfectly when it arrived was extremely easy and I appreciated the level of detail that was given for that. I know I need to share a photo of the cute box soon,  but what do you think? How would you style a wood watch?
Hope you had a great weekend and are having a great start to your week!

I have been thinking of rounding up all the things I did in June into one post, so stay tuned for that. I spent the holiday weekend at home with my family and celebrated my mom’s birthday on Sunday. My dad and sister left for a trip to Mexico on the 4th, so it was just me, my mom and my sister’s Westie Bella. We went out for brunch, and it was nice to get to spend some quality time with her in the morning and continue celebrating with my brother’s family and my grandma in the afternoon.
I was in charge of planning a big retirement event at work, and it is finally over after today. Event planning is fun, but it can be pretty draining when you have a lot of details to think about. Luckily I didn’t do it by myself, but it is nice that it was well-received and that it ended on a positive note.
Today’s outfit features a skirt from LE TOTE that I’ve shared in a previous post. I loved the zipper detail, but in the end decided it wasn’t a piece I needed to keep in my wardrobe. It was fun to style for work and I am sure I could have come up with some more combinations, but I didn’t see myself reaching for it more. I love that I can try pieces by LE TOTE and get a sense of how many times I might be wearing something.
I am most excited about the shoes I paired with this outfit. These DV by Dolce Vita pumps are posh finds! I got a really great deal on them on +Poshmark and love how they look! (They were also only worn once and looked brand new!) If you haven’t joined the app, you need to get on it. You can use my referral code to start off with $5 shopping credit. It’ll be handy to have, especially now that the new bundle feature has been implemented on the app. I haven’t used the new feature in another closet, but I’ve implemented it on mine and now you can automatically request to purchase more than 1 item in my closet with a discount on that bundle. Seriously dangerous,  but it will definitely save time as a seller from having to manually combine items and save you money as a buyer. Let me know if you tried it and what your thoughts are as well!
Hope you are having a great week so far and until next time,

Starting off the work week with an outfit for work that is a little bit more serious. My recent box from LE TOTE featured a lot of items that I absolutely loved! This skirt is one I have been wanting to try, and recently LE TOTE rolled out a feature where you get to see what they’ll be sending you with a notice via email and giving you the option to change any item in your tote within 24 hours. I love this feature since it can guarantee you’ll have really want to try in your next box. I loved the surprises initially, but I have a lot of items in “My Closet” that I would prefer to prioritize when they be sent. I appreciate that there are plenty of items to wear for work, and this French Connection skirt did not disappoint!
I paired this skirt with classic Christian Louboutin patent pumps. I think the heel height and zipper in this body con skirt add a little sex appeal to the outfit, but in an appropriate way. Not a ton of leg is showing and my top half is covered up. Adding a fun, quirky bag changes the tone of the outfit making it office appropriate.
I found this fun Kate Spade bag on Poshmark, and it has become on my favorite bags as of late. I love the bright color but also the fact that it looks like a typewriter. I started blogging because I love to write, and this just felt like me. It is so fun to carry around and I received a lot of compliments on this bag. It’s not sold in stores any more, but searching for “All typed Up Clyde” or “Kate Spade Typewriter” should help you find a listing of this bag on a resale site like Poshmark or eBay.
Hope you are having a great week so far! I am so excited to share a couple of collaboration posts I’ve been working on, so stay tuned for that later this week.

Until next time,

Striped Floral Skirt

Trench Coat Viktor & Rolf for H&M | Denim Chambray Shirt  Banana Republic Factory Store | Floral Striped Mint Midi JOA (here)| Crystal Statement Necklace Urban Gem via  Rocksbox | Sunglasses  Diane von Furstenberg | Nude Patent Ulltra Heels  Steve Madden | Black Cedar Street Elissa Kate Spade New York (here) | I am having a moment with midi skirts, and this mint midi has a fun mix of floral and stripe. I found it while shopping on Modcloth, and there is only 1 left on the site. (So get it while you can!) It is the perfect skirt for Spring/Summer and I can’t wait to style it a couple of different ways. I really like this minty color.  I’ve worn this skirt with a denim jacket and heels for a more casual look, but the denim button down and trench coat keeps it looking classic for work. My next challenge is to dress it up even more, so stay tuned to see this skirt a couple more times on the blog.
Hope you are having a great start to your week so far!

Peach Blossoms

Knit Grey Sweater  Armani Exchange (here)  | Peach Blossom Midi Skirt in Navy  Chicwish (here) | Dolly Bib Necklace  Noir Luxe via LE TOTE | Crystal Earrings  Kate Spade New York (here) | Silver Metallic Heels  Coach c/o DSW | Silver Evening Bag  ESPRIT (here) | Le Rouge Framboise Velours 315 Lipstick Givenchy (here) |  I recently discovered Chicwish, and I am pretty much in love. I am not going to lie, I found this skirt through another blogger (Kendi Everyday) and immediately wanted to own this Peach Blossom midi skirt. I loved the navy and pink colors and the print. Kendi is great at mixing her prints, and I just may have to take one of her examples and apply it with this skirt. I am convinced she styled it better but I am also convinced I need those pink heels she wore with it.
I am mixing it with some older items in my closet, such as the sweater and purse. I have both items listed in my Poshmark closet, and I had not taken great pictures of them until this outfit shoot (hence why they were listed.) I like putting the time to take good photos for my cover shots, but it isn’t always possible. I am going to try challenging myself with styling something I haven’t worn in awhile. I figure if I could incorporate it with some of my favorite pieces of the moment, I can give an item new life and potentially see a piece I own in a new light. I know I’ve listed items before after taking photos in them and changed my mind about selling them. Sometimes I am a firm believer of out with the old, in with the new, but keeping older items is okay as long as you wear them again.
Speaking of new, how sweet are my heels? Armando took photos of this outfit a few weeks ago, but I wore these heels yesterday during my staff presentation and received a ton of compliments. I found them at DSW in the clearance section! It was too good to be true. These aren’t available anymore, but you can find this similar pair on their website by BCBG Paris.
Hope you are having a great so far!

Sea Urchin

Sea Urchin for You Print Dress Lilly Pulitzer for Target (here) | Seahorse Necklace Lilly Pulitzer for Target (here) | Sea Charm Bracelet  Lilly Pulitzer for Target | Gold Bracelets  LE TOTE | White Leather Cross Body Bag  Coach | White Sun Hat Wet Seal | Aviator Sunglasses  H&M | Gravee Nude Sandals Steve Madden | Photos by Nicole S.I am back! I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Hawaii and for the first time I felt I went on a real vacation. Going on trips for a vacation is one thing, but going somewhere with no plans and doing nothing but relax is something I rarely get a chance to do. I spent a lot of time at the beach and got a nice tan.
I picked up the Lilly Pulitzer for Target dress and pieces of jewelry during the release of this collection Target’s website. It was an intense shopping experience, struggling to checkout and having the server unreachable, but I felt I got most of what I wanted. There were 2 other bracelets I would have wanted to complete this look, but I am happy that I had these pieces specifically for my trip.
I wore this during our second day in Waikiki. We had breakfast at Egg’s ‘N Things, shopped at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, and then headed out to Germaine’s Luau. While my mom, sister and I spent a lot of time at the beach, going to Germaine’s was one of the few touristy things I felt we needed to do during our time in Hawaii.
I plan do to a quick little recap of my trip my next post in case you didn’t catch what I was up to on Instagram, so stay tuned for that!
