While I was in LA for the Fourth of July weekend, I packed this leg-exposing maxi dress I received courtesy of Tobi. I wore it while checking out the festival stalls in near Huntington Beach, but I will admit I was not wearing these Manolo Blahnik heels.

It’s been my go-to for summer outfits throughout the month. This dark wash denim jacket has paid for itself by this point. It was a piece I discovered through Le Tote along with the necklace. I opted to return the necklace despite it being a Serenity Blue, one of the colors of the year by Pantone, and I kind of regret it since it was such a cool piece. On the bright side, I can always request to have it be part of my next tote if I can’t stop thinking about it.
Besides the jacket, necklace and ring, all the other items were thrifted. My Alice + Olivia top and H&M skirt are from Crossroads Trading Co. My DV flats are from Poshmark. I wore this outfit for a movie date. Pairing the silk top with the soft, grey skirt kind of gives off a dreamy look and I love the small pops of blue.
May went by so fast and I am so excited to share that my photographer (and boyfriend) Armando has graduated from SFSU! I spent a lot of time focused on preparing for the graduation, a small party I had for him, and on planning a trip to Japan next month. I feel I finally have more time to really dedicate to blogging, so stay tuned for some more outfits, beauty reviews and recipes sprinkled in for June.

I spotted this skirt on Pinterest and kept an eye out for it on Poshmark. I scored it along with another Express skirt in a sweet bundle deal. I haven’t worn the other skirt on the blog yet, but it is black and white hounds tooth print. The Joie top seemed to be the perfect color match with the pink roses in this floral skirt. It ties on the front, but having it tucked in hides that fun detail. This top fits me a little big, which is why it was tucked in, but that means it will be making its way to my Poshmark closet pretty soon.
I am really excited to be wearing to be taking out my colorful pieces for the warmer seasons. Dressing up during the spring and summer weather makes me feel a lot more inspired than winter or fall. There is a lot more variety of clothing and there’s just something about getting dressed in the morning that feels different lately.

Back in January, Armando and I made our way to Lake Arrowhead. We mentioned to a friend that we wanted to go on a weekend getaway somewhere close to snow before the end of the month and it just so happened they owned a cabin, had it listed on AirB&B and would be restocking it and doing some maintenance and we could stay at a discount provided we helped with cleaning and some chores.
It felt like it was meant to be. The cabin was super-cute and reminded me of gingerbread house. I packed clothing I could layer just in case there was snow. I was getting over a cold, so staying warm for that reason was also important. Armando and I enjoyed waffles for breakfast at Lake Arrowhead and we drove through the mountains to get to Big Bear Lake. Along the way, we stopped to ride some inner tubes down some hills at a place called Snow Drift. Traffic to Big Bear Lake was pretty bad, so we would stop every now and then to take photos of the breathtaking scenery along the mountain road.
I wore my new plaid flannel button down from Express that I had been wearing nonstop throughout winter along with my blanket scarf and coat. I was really excited to be wearing my new Loeffler Randall boots I scored from Poshmark using funds I had from a few sales. Don’t let the gold buckles fool you, these are rain boots and have been my go-to shoes during the times it has rained in the Bay Area. I was ready to drink some hot cocoa in this outfit and walk around some fresh-fallen snow. We made it to Big Bear Lake, which was completely frozen. It was so pretty and a nice weekend escape.
Armando saw and touched snow for the first time on our drive back to the Bay Area on Sunday. I am so glad he did and hopefully we can build a snowman next time! I am really proud of how these photos came out, so I hope you liked my cabin-ready look. even though Spring has started, I want to finish sharing my Winter looks before going into dresses and floral prints. I didn’t have a lot of time to get ready in the morning since I had a lot to do starting early in the day, so I pulled out my favorite denim jacket and black ponte pants as a starting point for my look and it all just came together.
This top is making its appearance on the blog for the first time, and it is from Pink Blush. This knit top has an opening in the back revealing the chiffon layer underneath. It is a fun twist and I can’t believe I forgot to ask for a photo of that, but trust me when I say it is cute.
I have also been wearing my new quote unquote necklace from the last Kate Spade Surprise sale with just about every outfit I’ve worn the past 2 weeks. It is a simple piece, but I love that it is big enough to still make a statement. It’s still available online and on sale.
Valentine’s day is just around the corner! I am debating on whether I’ll bake something this weekend, but more importantly on what to wear. It’s hard not to pick out something red or pink throughout this month. I am hoping I can share my outfit post from last year before the end of the week for some outfit inspiration, but a baking post could always win out. The trick is to have one unifying color between the two prints you are working with. I decided to bring my BYER CA belt out for a spin and pair it with this thrifted Jason Wu x Target daisy print dress.
This dress is listed in my Poshmark closet, and the biggest motivation to wear it is comes from my desire to update the cover photos of the items I have for sale. I struggle letting go of dresses the most, because they are the easiest items to style. I was able to slip this dress on, add a few accessories, and enjoy the day in it. Since I don’t have a lot of closet space though, collecting dresses quickly grows out of hand and becomes an even bigger problem compared to shoes. Boxes can be stacked on top of each other, but that is tricky when it comes to dresses. I’ve added a bunch of items lately, but I am considering using The Real Real for a couple of designer pieces. I’d be curious to know if you’ve used that service before. I buy from The Real Real often, but I like selling items on my own because I can get more for them. I don’t only want to spend all my time listing with no results, so having someone take care of that and clear up space sounds amazing to me.
