40 Days of DVF: Day 21

Blue Sheer Polka Dot Linda Wrap Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Trench Coat elevenses | Black Legacy Satchel c/o JustFAB! (Buy here) |Ulltra Red Suede Pumps Steve Madden | Ruby Red Flower Statement Necklace unknown (found via Poshmark)
We’ve entered the second leg of this series and I am stoked to be sharing one of my favorite wrap dresses that I found thanks to Poshmark.I was able to pay for it using money I had made on some sales, which is definitely a win-win in my opinion. I enjoy this type of guilt-free shopping and I’ll admit that my statement necklace is also another Poshfind.
I am a fan of polka dots, and the sheer detail in this wrap dress is amazing. Wrap dresses show off your body, and I feel the sheer detail makes the dress slightly sexier while the polka dots keeps it sweet. Perfect for work, but I would also wear this for date night or even to a graduation ceremony.
Speaking of graduations, I am baking cupcakes for 2 graduations tonight so I will more than likely have a later post than usual up tomorrow. I hope to share some photos on Instagram later, so make sure to follow me under my username willbakeforshoes. See you tomorrow,

40 Days of DVF: Day 20

Blue Jori Shift Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Trench Coat Banana Republic | Hot Pink Bag Nine West (Buy it on Poshmark here) | Metallic Heels Manolo Blahnik | Necklace unknown | Bangles Coach Day 20! We officially at the halfway point of this blog series! When I first started this series I thought it would be very time consuming and that it would drag on a bit. It is time-consuming, but that fact that I’ve reached Day 20 this quickly is amazing to me! I still have a lot of dresses and tops I want to share, and I don’t think I can fit them all into this series! I do want to thank my photographer, and significant other, Armando, for helping me with this project. I know we still have a ways to go, but you always being patient and helping me take outfit photos during your finals means a lot to me. Thank you for helping me smile during and after our shoots and reminding me to change my poses every now and then.
Within this series, this trench coat has made a few appearances and it really is the perfect Spring coat. I dream of owning a Burberry trench coat one day, but this one works quite well and I love how it tied in seamlessly with my bone colored statement necklace and blue dress. I don’t always find my DVF pieces at Crossroads. This dress I actually splurged on at Sak’s Off Fifth at the Livermore Outlets. I had some money burning a hole a in my pocket and decided to treat myself to a DVF dress. None of the wrap dresses were calling to me as I tried them on, but the color and cut of this dress left me in awe with how it fit my body. I love the color and how it pairs well with pink. The pink bag is actually listed for sale on my closet at Poshmark. You can shop for it under my username willbakeforshoe.
Thanks to you for making it the halfway point with me too. I hope you enjoy the other half of this series and I look forward to finishing what I started.

40 Days of DVF: Day 19

Sunglasses Diane von Furstenberg | Green and Blue Karin Dress Diane von Furstenberg (Buy here or here on Poshmark) | Gold Bello Wedges Jimmy Choo (Buy here) | Legacy Black Satchel c/o JustFAB! (Buy here) | Cobalt Sunburst Necklace House of Harlow rented via Rocksbox | Bangles Forever 21  Happy Monday!
Another resort look and this time I am by a body of water. We actually took these photos by Lake Merrit. Day 19’s dress is one that I managed to score at a Crossroads Trading Co. in San Francisco. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn’t always be sharing where I find something because then it might encourage others to go and get all the good stuff, but thrift store shopping is all about timing. This dress was hanging on the wall on display and I locked eyes on it once I entered the store. It was not the first time I had seen this dress and after some research, I remember the first time I spotted this dress was on Blair’s blog: Atlantic-Pacific. I love how she styled the bold, printed dress with neutral pieces and I can’t believe I stumbled across the same dress almost a year after her first post with it. Hopefully I see her style it again and see what else she pairs with it.
My favorite part of this look, aside from the dress and shoes, is actually the necklace. It is a House of Harlow piece that I am renting via Rocksbox, and I suited the pattern and colors of the dress perfectly. I’ve tried about 2 boxes from Rocksbox and so far I’ve enjoyed being able to try new pieces of jewelry that I normally would not pick out for myself. I love that this piece in particular fit perfectly with this dress so well, so kudos to my Rocksbox stylist for picking that out for me.
Hope you’ve had an easy Monday and check back in tomorrow for the halfway point in this series. See you tomorrow.

40 Days of DVF: Day 18

Beige Cardigan Express | Patterned Peggie Sleeveness Dress  Diane von Furstenberg (Buy it on Poshmark here) | Orange Bow Belt Kate Spade | Bracelet c/o LE TOTE | Signature Tote Coach | Capped Tan Loafers Dolce VitaFor Day 18 I am featuring another summer dress that is perfect for the weekend. This outfit makes me feel like I should be on a tropical vacation. With the sudden wave of warm weather in the Bay Area, I’ve envisioned myself heading out to a tropical island enjoying drinks with little umbrellas. It’d be great to be hanging out by a pool, but until then I’ll be dressing like I belong at a Resort.
I found this dress also listed for sale on Poshmark under username viscus09. I love the print and colors, and the best part is this dress has pockets! I styled it my orange belt and kept my other pieces neutral. I’ve worn this dress before dressed up and down and love how versatile it is. I would recommend snatching it up while you can.
Only 2 more days until we are at the halfway point of this series. I am so excited! See you tomorrow and enjoy the rest of your Sunday. Brandy| BLOGLOVIN | FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM |TUMBLR | TWITTER |

40 Days of DVF: Day 17

Pink and Brown Tie-Dye Pelego Dress Diane von Furstenberg (For sale on Poshmark here) | Bow Wedge Sandal Kimchi Blue | Brown Signature C Tote Purse Coach | Bronze Wing Cuff Forever 21 Weekends in Berkeley sometimes call for a casual dress in a tie-dye print. If you ever visit Telegraph St., you’ll see pop-up stands selling tie-dye shirts and the explosion of bright colors can be a little overwhelming. One of my personal rules is to never walk out of the house in sweats, but wearing a tie-dye shirt was a close second. It wasn’t until I found this dress that I realized tie-dye can be stylish and fashion forward. The trick is to wear it with just a few colors.
I’ve had this dress listed on Poshmark for awhile because I had it in my closet for awhile and it never seemed like I was going to wear it, but now that I have I am almost tempted to keep it. If this dress is something you have to have in your wardrobe, feel free to check it out in my closet here. I’d love for it to go a home where it will be worn more often. (it is perfect for a tropical vacation!) I have a few other DVF pieces listed as well, and they might be making an appearance during this blog series.
See you tomorrow and I hope you enjoyed today’s post.Brandy| BLOGLOVIN | FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM |TUMBLR | TWITTER |

40 Days of DVF: Day 16

Red Andra Wrap Dress Diane von Furstenberg (here) | Gold Striped Cardigan  New York & Co. | Legacy Black Bag c/o JUSTFab! (here) | Ulltra Nude Pumps Steve Madden | Gold Buckle Bracelet Rented via RocksBoxLady in Red: That’s what my nickname at work was throughout the day while I was wearing this fiery dress. I used to wear black colored clothing all the time because I felt it was easy to wear, but ever since I graduated, I feel I have been reaching for bright colors and prints more often. Red is one of my favorite shades, and I am convinced the little red dress is a must-have piece for any fashionista’s wardrobe.
My love of the red dress was inspired by Zooey Deschanel in New Girl when she wears her Zara dress in the opening credits, and now I own a few dresses in red and that Zara dress. While I like how cute and sweet the Zara dress is, it doesn’t compare to the formfitting effects of a DVF wrap dress. I found this little number last weekend while shopping in SF, and it fits like a glove. I will admit I own the same dress in purple, but the material is very breathable and I could not pass this beauty up knowing the weather was going to be ridiculously hot later in the week. A red wrap dress is definitely a statement piece and it works on a hot day at the office or for a hot date at night.
I know I am focusing on DVF during my series, but I am also really digging my bracelet. I am renting it thanks to RocksBox, and I am tempted to buy it! It is simple and elegant and I can see myself wearing it with more outfits.
And, before I forget, happy Friday! Thanks for ready Day 16 and see you back here tomorrow!
