Bad-A%# Spiked Heels

Velvet Blazer Erin Fetherston for Target | Tank and Watch Marc by Marc Jacobs | Jewelry Forever 21 | Black Pants Anchor Blue | Messenger Bag and Scarf Coach | Black Suede Lorissa Heels Sam Edelman (here)There is a lot of detail to this outfit, so attention must be paid!
I find it interesting that I mixed this sweet Marc by Marc Jacobs Top with stripes, ruffles, and miniature bows with something edgy and dangerous like my Sam Edelman Heels. I love the studs and extra height. These shoes that have their own attitude and read “don’t mess with me!” With the heels and my bun, I might have been 5′ 7″! (I am 5′ 2″, this is incredibly tall for me!)
This look felt appropriate for work, but I am sure it could work for a date or even a holiday office party. I am proud of everything I mixed in and it finally feels like the right balance of accessories. I piled on quite a few for that stacked arm candy effect, and I think the accessories worked well because of all the black I was wearing.
The top was actually a dress that had another tier that I did not think looked as flattering on me. I can always reattach it, but when it comes to thrifting, and any clothes you buy, there is only one rule. You should be wearing the clothes, not letting them wear you. Don’t be afraid to be creative and put your own spin on things. I received many compliments on this top at work, and it might not have happened if I hadn’t modified the dress to suit me! (The shoes received a lot of attention too!)
What do you think? Could you rock these heels? What would you wear with them? Leave your suggestion or link in a comment so I can see your answer!

Holiday Heroes

Black Princess Coat and Black Pumps Steve Madden | Teal and Black Print Dress Calvin Klein | Earrings and Clutch Forever 21 | Panda Necklace Betsey Johnson

Last night Armando and I were given the opportunity to attend the Holiday Heroes Children Fundraiser hosted by the Wender Weis Foundation for Children.
A coworker of mine had originally received the tickets but was not feeling well and I was invited at the last minute. I dressed with going only to work in mind, but I had Armando bring me my pumps and clutch at the end of the day for a night out in SF.
The event was held at AT&T Park and the fundraiser benefits the Junior Giants Baseball Program, 49ers Foundation, Children of Shelters, Raphael House and the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center. Their mission is to provide encouragement to under-served kids to impact their future in a positive way. Funds were made by purchasing tickets, participating in the silent auction, and SF Giants Christmas Tree Raffle.
There was plenty of food and drink was provided and many fun activities for the kids that attended such as cookie decorating, stuffed animal stuffing, and face painting. There was a video game center and all of theBay Area Team Mascots! I felt like a kid myself and got my own stuffed monkey, that Armando claimed for himself by the end of the night I took photos with Sharkie the San Jose Sharks mascot as well as Jeremey Affeldt.
We even participated in the silent auction and won a Raider’s Football signed by the entire 2012 team. This will make a great Christmas gift for my dad and we both felt great that our purchase will be going straight to the charities the event was sponsoring. I’d love to attend more benefits like this because not only was it fun, it was also for a great cause.

BayFashion Magazine Issue Release Party

Pink Blazer, Black Leggings, Black Tiered Tulle Skirt, All Accessories Forever 21 | Black Leather Knee-High Boots Madden Girl | Silver Boyfriend Watch Marc by Marc Jacobs

Last night I was lucky enough to join Elise of WTFab! at the W Hotel for the BayFashion Issue Release Party through her extended invitation from Melange. I had the chance to go by being one of the first five to respond to her post along with my guest. I was joined by Vivian on this adventure in San Francisco.
It was pouring outside, so I needed to wear some boots to avoid ruining any of my pretty heels. I did not know what to expect, so I decided to wear my tutu and pink blazer with a statement necklace to dress up the casual look my boots gave me. I felt like I was dressed appropriately when I arrived, and I fit with what Vivian was wearing too! People’s outfits varied, some wore jeans and tennis shoes, others wore cocktail dresses, and one man was dressed in a kilt. (He was at our booth later and he was awesome!)
Our VIP booth had complimentary bottle service from Melange, and this fashion company was a special guest for the release party. I was surrounded by many fashionable, fabulous people and was pretty excited about the magazine as well. I met and networked with a lot of people in the fashion world, those that worked for Melange, and those connected with the magazine.
I was very glad to have met fellow blogger Elise who was dressed in a chic black dress and high bun. She was very sweet and offered me a lot of insight when it came to blogging, and the use of other social media tools. My last 2 photos I published on Instagram, and while I had not been updating it or doing anything with it, I was inspired by Elise to use it. We’ll see how long I can last on there.
I am very thankful for the opportunities I have had so far since starting this blog. While sipping champagne I felt like I was no longer looking into a window of the person I dreamed of being in the fashion world, but I was finally inside playing out the rest of the story with the possibility of future fashion related events for me to go to!
But enough about me. Hope you had a fabulous weekend and of course I must ask, what would you wear to a magazine launch party? (Also, what if it was raining?) Leave your response or link to an outfit below so I may see.

Manolo Blahnik Heels

Pink Jacket, and All Rings Forever 21 |  Blue Dress Diane Von Furstenberg via Saks Off 5th | Silver d’Orsay Sedaraby Pumps Manolo Blahnik (here) | Silver Boyfriend Watch Marc by Marc JacobsHappy Friday!
Sorry for the blurry shots. I feel like it was a waste wearing this outfit on a rainy day, but I have really wanted to wear my Manolo Blahniks since purchasing them in July during my Vegas trip. Yes, these are the shoes Carrie from Sex and the City loses at a friend’s party. These are very special to my and felt today was a special day despite the rain. (Don’t worry, I wore rain boots and my black coat over everything to stay dry!)
I recently purchased the dress from Saks Off 5th at the new Paragon Outlets in Livermore. My watch is also from an outlet store there too. I wore the dress within 2 weeks after buying it and feel so proud of myself. I thought today was going to be my last day of work at the office, then out of nowhere, I get another extension to my contract. Woo-hoo! I will have a job for the holidays and time to job hunt just in case.
What would you wear with these Manolo Blahnik pumps? Leave your comment or link to a blog post below so I may see what outfit you have in mind
Thanks for reading, and hope you have a happy weekend-I know I will!

Cheetah Print

Black Princess Coat and Nude Ulltra Pumps Steve Madden | Black Dress with Cheetah Print Belt H&M | Brown Signature C Umbrella Coach | Tiger Cuff, Thick Gold Ring, and Stacked Rings (similar stacked rings here) Forever 21Tan and black work so well together! I have worn this black dress with this coat before, but it is amazing how just adding tights and wearing a different belt and heels provided a whole new look! Rain is expected which is why I have my umbrella out and open. This dress originally came with this belt but I had never worn it with the belt until today. This amazing find is also from Crossroads Trading Co.
I decided to wear a red lip stain to go with my neutral tones. While I wear a lot of florals, I usual don’t invest in other prints (unless it is a DVF wrap dress). I wore a little and I think it went a long way.
What do you think? What would you pair with Cheetah Print? Leave your link of an outfit with cheetah print or suggestion in a comment below so I may think of different ways of wearing it.

Jimmy Choo Heels

Pink Dress Diane Von Furstenberg | Embellished Nude Belt H&M, Ring Forever 21| Logan Glitter d’Orsay Pumps Jimmy Choo (same here) My first pair of Jimmy Choos! Are they not amazing?!
Before it starts to rain I had to wear a pair of glittery heels. I wore my DVF dress from before shown here and a nude belt with some sparkle to tie the heels and dress together. (And because this dress would feel too loose without a belt.)
I found these shoes on eBay, which has been key to helping me find the exact item I want. I originally was looking around for the Isabel Champagne Glitter pump seen here. When I stumbled upon these for less than $170, I was instantly in love. Not only was the price decent, but the Logan style is classic and clearly works for work or a night out.
I should admit that I also purchased the Baxen glitter wedges seen here recently. I could not get enough of the glitter or the fact that it is Jimmy Choo! I am proud of myself I wear my purchases sooner rather than later and now I cannot wait to wear those wedges especially because of the mirrored heel. I realize I am splurging on myself, but I did no Black Friday shopping and have been taking lunch to work more often to make sure I am not going in debt over shoes. (Some people would say getting into debt because of shoes would be bad.)
I am on wearing yet another pink outfit in case you are tired of seeing so much pink. I was very productive at work and have almost caught up with things I missed on Monday. It was all thanks to the pink dress. I am already looking to accomplishing more tomorrow, so maybe I will go pink again!
Thanks for your comments for my last post, I am surprised many people haven’t been summoned for jury duty (lucky), but at the same time I kind of wish I had been able to participate in order to witness the legal system first hand for a civil case. Maybe another time when I can leave work for a longer period of time.
But on to making a verdict, would you wear these heels? What would you wear with these Jimmy Choos? Leave a comment with your answer or link to a blog post so I can see!
