Pink Cardigan with Gold Buttons NYC (on sale here) | Floral Top Sele, Shiny Pants Anchor Blue | Signature C Tote Bag and Gold Flats Coach | Belt, Necklace and Rings Forever 21 (same rings here) | Silver Boyfriend Watch Marc by Marc JacobsI had to report for Jury Duty this morning, and when attending it is recommended to go dressed business casual and dressed in layers. I brought along my long Bebe coat to wear over in case I felt cold, but I dressed in some layers with a new cardigan my mom purchased for me last week. I love the subtle stripes and gold buttons. I picked the floral top for fun and it is dressed up when compared to when I last wore it here.

I wore my watch to look like I get to places on time (which isn’t always the case) and I wore some rings I had just purchased that day to go with the silver watch and gold necklace. I love to match my clothes where one bright colored item highlights the color for another piece in the outfit.
Despite dressing up business casual, I was excused from jury duty because my home address now is in Berkeley despite my constant visits home. Missing one day of work can result in twice as much work the following day, so I am prepared to dress in something that says “I am here and ready to get stuff done!” I am leaning towards something pink;)

Embellished Top

Because I typically thrift, I rarely buy things from major department stores. This top is an exception and was from Macy’s a while back. It is very girly with the color and pearl collar embellished detail. I also love that it is loose-fitting, but it could also work tucked into a skirt.

The pink flats, also with embellishments, were a no-brainer to pair with the top because of the girly detail as well. I kept the other choices somewhat neutral to keep the outfit from feeling too girly.

Members Only Jacket

I really love my Members Only jackets, but I can’t really wear them to work because of their casual vibe. This one might be unisex because of its size. I found it at Crossroads Trading Co. I paired it with a cartoon graphic tee and my favorite gray jeans. These jeans come in Short, Regular and Tall sizes and I also have a pair of dark wash jeans. It’s nice to be able to buy jeans and not have to worry about rolling up the bottoms or having them hemmed.
 My Converse sneakers are also a big staple for my weekend wear. I’ve loved this sneaker style since middle school, and don’t plan on retiring this style of sneaker anytime soon.  
As you can see, I am also really in love with my silver Marc by Marc Jacobs watch. It really goes with everything I wear.

Black Friday Shopping

I stopped by Sears and Wal-Mart with Mando and his parents on Thanksgiving, and felt a little overwhelmed by the the crowds. Mando and I met up the next day and visited the Movado store at the Gilroy Outlets, and from my first photo you can tell I am going crazy. The place was overflowing with people. He found what we wanted which made the trip worthwhile.
I dressed in layers, and tried to keep the edgy vibe of my cardigan. I found this beautiful piece at Crossroads. I was inspired by Carrie’s look in the Sex in the City Movie when she wears a black hat and studded belt over a black coat. I got the effect that I wanted. To be comfortable shopping, shoes are also important. I wore my trusty Steve Madden suede boots, and in the evening when I went out to dinner I swapped them out for my Sam Edelman spiked heels. I added a clutch, and this outfit easily transitioned from shopping to dinner with friends.

Thanksgiving Day

Hopefully, you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and you spent it with people that matter most. I am thankful for my family, friends, and most importantly, my followers.Thank you for reading, commenting, and following because it gives me more motivation to blog every day!
Now that I am done being kind of cheesy, my Thanksgiving outfit is usually a lot more formal, but because I helped cook dinner and was working on cupcakes, I had to dress with that in mind. This top was a gift from my sister-in-law, and she always knows what will work on me.

Coat and a Wrap Tunic

Tweed Black Coat Bebe | Floral Print Renny Wrap Tunic Diane Von Furstenberg |  Black Leggings H&M | Suede Bonanza Black Boots Steve Madden This outfit post is late because I slept the entire way and fell asleep right away once I arrived in Salinas, but I had to share this wrap tunic, or dress, is from one of my eBay purchases 2 months ago. It surprised me how short it was when I opened it from the package it was in. Whenever something is questionably short, adding opaque tights or leggings can make it instantly chic!
I love the sleeve shape and obviously, I am a big fanatic of this floral print. I have purchased a top seen here and another dress seen here with the same print. I love black and white with a touch of pink, and this wrap has such a fun shape overall.
This overcoat is by Bebe and also a thrift store find. It looks very classy and perfect for nights out as it has enough shine. I was very cozy and warm in it during the drive back to Salinas.
