To my surprise, I did not really participate in this year’s Black Friday sales. I stopped by Sears and Wal-Mart with Mando and his parents on Thanksgiving, and felt a little overwhelmed by the the crowds. Mando and I met up the next day and visited the Movado store at the Gilroy Outlets, and from my first photo you can tell I am going crazy. The place was overflowing with people. He found what we wanted which made the trip worthwhile.
I dressed in layers, and tried to keep the edgy vibe of my cardigan. I found this beautiful piece at Crossroads. I was inspired by Carrie’s look in the Sex in the City Movie when she wears a black hat and studded belt over a black coat. I got the effect that I wanted. To be comfortable shopping, shoes are also important. I wore my trusty Steve Madden suede boots, and in the evening when I went out to dinner I swapped them out for my Sam Edelman spiked heels. I added a clutch, and this outfit easily transitioned from shopping to dinner with friends.
Great choice with the hat. After trying on dresses and tops, my hair gets so static-y. Perfect solution.
