40 Days of DVF: Day 17

Pink and Brown Tie-Dye Pelego Dress Diane von Furstenberg (For sale on Poshmark here) | Bow Wedge Sandal Kimchi Blue | Brown Signature C Tote Purse Coach | Bronze Wing Cuff Forever 21 Weekends in Berkeley sometimes call for a casual dress in a tie-dye print. If you ever visit Telegraph St., you’ll see pop-up stands selling tie-dye shirts and the explosion of bright colors can be a little overwhelming. One of my personal rules is to never walk out of the house in sweats, but wearing a tie-dye shirt was a close second. It wasn’t until I found this dress that I realized tie-dye can be stylish and fashion forward. The trick is to wear it with just a few colors.
I’ve had this dress listed on Poshmark for awhile because I had it in my closet for awhile and it never seemed like I was going to wear it, but now that I have I am almost tempted to keep it. If this dress is something you have to have in your wardrobe, feel free to check it out in my closet here. I’d love for it to go a home where it will be worn more often. (it is perfect for a tropical vacation!) I have a few other DVF pieces listed as well, and they might be making an appearance during this blog series.
See you tomorrow and I hope you enjoyed today’s post.Brandy| BLOGLOVIN | FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM |TUMBLR | TWITTER |

40 Days of DVF: Day 13

Pink Cardigan New York & Co. | Green Floral Tank Diane von Furstenberg | Jeans 7 For All Mankind | Pink Suede d’Orsay Flats Dolce Vita | Photos by JennyMay VillareteIt is hot today! I am sure if you read any other Bay Area blogger’s blog they will concur. I’ve lived in this area for about 5-6 years, and it is typically cool thanks to the fog. I am enjoying the sunny days and it makes me realize I need some more sandals/wedges in my shoe collection, but sometimes it can be difficult dressing in this dry heat.
For Day 13 of my 40 Days of DVF, I thought I would share photos taken by JennyMay at a rooftop party I attended two months ago at a friend’s apartment building in the city. My floral print top is DVF and I feel the colors on it are very rich. This party was in SF, so I prepared for a windy day by wearing jeans, my cardigan and I had my short trench coat with me just in case. My friends and I enjoyed macarons, champagne, mini cupcakes and some nice girl talk. I love being able to catch up with friends and I met all the people at the event thanks to blogging.
Hope you enjoyed this look and I look forward to sharing my next look tomorrow! Until then,

40 Days of DVF: Day 12

Green Leaf Print Jessica Wrap Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Denim Jean Jacket Heritage 1981 | Wedges Kimchi Blue Happy Monday!
I typically save my wrap dress for work days, but I wore this for the weekend at home. Once again, I scored this beauty at Crossroads Trading Co. I feel like wrap dresses tend to say a lot on their own, and I didn’t wear any jewelry with this outfit. When I am spending time with my family I try not to wear outfits that are too fussy and pairing this dress with a denim jacket and wedges adds enough interest without going overboard.
This week it is expected to be really warm  in the Bay Area (up in the 80’s) and I am preparing to wear some more of my Spring/Summer pieces. Hope you had a great weekend and are having a great start to your week!

40 Days of DVF: Day 10

Trench Coat BB Dakota | Floral Bennetta Top Diane von Furstenberg | Jeans 7 For All Mankind | Vintage Black Cross Body Coach | P-Heaven Flats Steve Madden |Ring GiftDay 10 is finally up! I thought I wouldn’t make this post, but I got it up as fast as I could. This casual look is similar to the one from earlier this week, mainly because I used the same jeans and jacket. They are my wardrobe staples and I realize I need to do some jean shopping soon (and be on the lookout for basic t-shirts.)
This floral top is another one of my Crossroads finds along with the jeans, trench and bag. I love to take clothes I am not using and exchange them for store credit since I can always find something, but lately I’ve been selling a lot of my items on Poshmark. Crossroads is great because if something isn’t selling, I’ll just take it there. Sometimes I like getting the most I can for an unused items and other times I just want space in my studio apartment.
Hope you are having a great weekend and remember to greet your mom tomorrow for Mother’s Day. Until tomorrow,Brandy| BLOGLOVIN | FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM |TUMBLR | TWITTER |

40 Days of DVF: Day 8

Trench Coat BB Dakota | Floral Print Marla Bis Top Diane von Furstenberg | Navy Shirts Harajuku | Wedges Kimchi Blu | Bracelets Forever 21 | Red Hob Single Speed Bike ChargeThis post is later in the day than I would like it to be, but I am glad I am able to get it up today. Today was Bike to Work Day and in honor of that I wanted to take a photo using my new bike. I used to have a Schwinn road bike that looked like a cruiser, but I sold it and looked into getting something that was smaller and lighter for me to use.
Normally I use sneakers or flats when I ride my bike, but it was hard to resist wearing the wedges with my summery top and shorts. (The weather was a lot colder this morning, so I ended up wearing jeans and some cute new loafers, but kept the top and short trench.) Sometimes it feels like it is hard to look cute and go bike riding, but wearing DVF makes it a little easier.
It’s almost Friday! I can’t wait to share my next outfit with you, so stay tuned for that. Brandy| BLOGLOVIN | FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM |TUMBLR | TWITTER |

40 Days of DVF: Day 6

Short Trench Coat BB Dakota | Rosita Floral Wrap Top Diane von Furstenberg | Skinny Jeans 7 For All Mankind | Flats Christian Louboutin | Coral Bag BCBG Generation The only thing close the effortless wrap dress is a cute wrap top. I adore this floral top and as luck would have it, I recently spotted another one for sale on Poshmark. If you want to get your hands on one I would stop by @izzyshoegal closet. I also spotted it on eBay for a little more here, but you can get a better deal on Poshmark. If you don’t have a Poshmark account you can always join using my referral code HAEWR and start out with $5 shopping credit. (Yay for saving money!)
I’ve been sharing a lot of outfits lately that I have worn to work and I thought it’d be nice to dress down and share an outfit I would wear for the weekend while I am running errands or going shopping in. The top is versatile and can be dressed up or down, but it is very girly with the print and pleated ruffles. I do incorporate extra color with my bag and red lipstick, but I tone the look down just a bit with my neutral trench coat, jeans and metallic flats.
Hope you are having a great week and are looking forward to Day 7! Brandy| BLOGLOVIN | FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM |TUMBLR | TWITTER |
