Happy Monday!
For today’s outfit post, I thought I would share one of my latest purchase from the KTR Collection. This is a floral midi skirt at first glance, but it also has the ability to be worn as a mini skirt. (I know, I’ll let that sink in for a minute.) Talk about double-duty! I am always looking at pieces that can last and be worn multiple ways, and this skirt provides me with a lot of options considering it can be dressed up or down. I opted to wear the skirt as a midi first since I have been obsessed with that style lately. I also feel it is a great way to wear a skirt on a colder day with the extra length. I am very excited with it, but I also have a few other pieces I purchased from the same designer I am equally as excited about.
Since the floral print is strong and bold, I kept the rest of the look subtle with some nice black pieces. I found the Manolo Blahnik heels from my favorite online consignment store, The Real Real. They were in amazing condition, and work with so many clothes in my closet. They felt like a pretty good investment, and I would buy them in every color if I could. I’ve also mentioned thredUP on my blog before as being one of my go-to sites for shopping, and I found this DVF top through that site. I love the sleeves and how they almost look like flowers petals.
Hope you had a great Easter weekend with your family. I was unable to spend it with mine this year, but one of these weekends I will be heading home to celebrate a few important birthdays. Maybe I will be wearing another one of my new KTR Collection pieces.
Until next time,

Les Mechantes had taken over the vault, and I along with a few other bloggers had a chance to shop the goodies and get some complimentary beauty services.
The Beauty Company is my favorite place to get a mani/pedi in the Bay Area, but they also offer full on salon services and an array of beauty products to shop from.  I wanted to get a bright mani pedi for the first day of Spring last week, and went with a shade of mint called Wet with an accent of a silver glitter called Dimepiece, both by Floss Gloss.
I really wanted a pedicure so I could finally show off my toes in my rose gold Kate Spade wedges I scored from The Real Real at the end of summer last year. These have been sitting in my closet waiting for warmer weather, and this outfit called for some cute sandals. I also took the colors on the scarf into consideration before settling on the turquoise nail polish by Floss Gloss. (I love how well it compliments the rose gold!) As I mentioned in my last post, I have been obsessed with my floral scarf lately and wanted to share another way to style it. It might be featured more often this Spring/Summer along with my Kate Spade cross body bag.
The brunch was fun and I was really glad I had a chance to spend some time with some old and new blogger friends. A special thanks to Chelsea for helping take these outfit shots. Check out her outfit post from our brunch here.
And stay tuned for some fun event recap posts coming to the blog this week.
Until next time!

Last weekend I had the chance to have my photos taken by Brittany Curran, the Street Style and Food Blogger behind Work It, Berk! and to be featured in her Blogger series Work It, Bloggers! This photo shoot was special to me because Brittany took my photo one random day as I was waiting at a bus stop in 2009 and peeked my interest in the world of fashion blogging. I found out that back then asking strangers to take their photos was still new to her, but when she approached me I thought she did it all the time!
I was not blogger when I met her, but I was really flattered she liked my outfit and wanted to take a photo of me in it. It was a fleeting moment, but it had a big impact on me and it made this photo shoot even sweeter. I know I’ve said before that the biggest perk from blogging is being able to connect and meet new people, and this is probably one of the best examples of that!
For our photo shoot, I decided to wear something colorful and casual for the weekend. The warm Winter we have had in the Bay Area just calls for some color. I’ve been obsessed with this Express floral print scarf and have worn it with a couple of my outfits already. I wore this to a little Blogger Brunch at the Beauty Company on Polk Street yesterday, and I can’t wait to share my outfit featuring this scarf. My pants are a lot brighter than I am used to, but I love how they pop and how they make a bigger statement than regular jeans for the weekend. I have them listed for sale on my Poshmark closet here in case you want to check them out!
I had a lot of fun shooting with Brittany and I hope I hope you can check out the full interview on her site here.

Tropical Winter

I don’t every feel like I don’t have enough content to post, but at the end of the day I just like to dress up and share what I wear if I can. I feel like I have also been really busy as I attempt to accomplish some of my short-term resolutions, like letting go of the old. My apartment is looking better thanks to the focus I’ve been putting into it and I expect to add a ton of items to my Poshmark closet, pretty soon too.
This outfit shoot is from early Fall, but it makes a great transitional look for Spring. Winters in California are not too bad, and although I like to wear winter coats and boots, I can’t get enough of my skirts. This particular skirt is one-of-a-kind and a sample from The Factory by the Evans Group  in SF. I came as a two-piece outfit with a bandeau style top in the same fabric. I suspect it would make a great outfit for a day on a cruise ship too, and if all goes well with my money saving goals, I might be on a cruise this summer.
For a more appropriate look for the office, I paired my brightly patterned skirt with a black top c/o LE TOTE. I have been loving all the pieces they’ve sent me to try on and it has been a little dangerous since it makes it too easy to buy clothes, but also a great way to shake up your wardrobe. The simplicity of the top allowed for me to layer my green flower statement necklace I scored on +Poshmark a few months ago. I love how it tied in with green from my skirt.
Hope you are having a great week (it’s Wednesday, Whoot Whoo!) I can’t wait to share my review of another fun product in my next post. If you want a hint, you can take a peak here.
Until next time,

40 Days of DVF: Day 31

Pink Izzie Solid Trench Diane von Furstenberg | Sunglasses Diane von Furstenberg | Ring Forever 21 | Nude Pumps Steve MaddenFor today’s DVF post I thought I’d focus a little on outerwear. When you have a great trench coat, it sometimes does not really matter what you are wearing underneath. I found this piece along with my dress from yesterday at the Crossroads Trading Co. in San Jose. It fits me slightly a little too big, so I will be posting it on Poshmark soon. I do love the button detail in the back as well as the bright color, so I will be sad to see it go, but glad to see it going to a good home.
See you back here tomorrow for Day 32!

40 Days of DVF: Day 30

Pink and Black Keena Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Gold Necklace Forever 21 | Green Clutch Banana Republic | Lorissa Spiked Heels Sam EdelmanTGIF! I can’t believe I only have 10 more days until my blog series is complete! I am so proud of myself for making it this far and for Armando being patient with me.
Today is typically every couples date night, and this outfit is something I would wear for a dinner downtown or to a more upscale bar. Out of all the dresses I’ve shared during this series, this dress is one of Armando’s favorites as he likes how it flatters my curves. The sleeves are also slightly see-through and the back shows some skin, but it is not overtly revealing. I am showing a lot of leg, so the long sleeves and high-neck balances that out.
This dress was another one of my Crossroads Trading Co. finds, this time from the one located on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. It was my first time visiting that Crossroads and I definitely was amazed with how big it was. I walked away with a lot of goodies – including the dress I wore for my first post in this blog series. I love how I can always find something at Crossroads, whether it is for work or for something a little more special.
Hope you enjoy this look and enjoy the last 10 I plan on sharing! Until tomorrow,
