I’ve posted a lot about food lately, so I thought it was time I’d share the outfit I wore to try the new Truffleata shakes at Godiva last month. My dress is by Collective Concepts and is a rental from LE TOTE . I loved the shape and worked the rest of the outfit around the color. I bought my Missoni for Target scarf back during the frenzy when Missoni collaborated with Target. I liked the colors and decided it was a pretty versatile piece. I have not worn it around my neck, but it does a great job changing up the look of my everyday bag. The necklace pops nicely against the dark pink dress and I feel the scarf ties the whole look together.
I’ve been really busy since Wednesday. I went out with coworkers for a Happy Hour and a Baseball Game in Oakland. On Thursday I attended LUNAFEST, which I will be talking more about in my next post, and afterwards made my way to El Cerrito to go bowling for a friend’s birthday. I’ve also spent most of the weekend updating my listings on my Poshmark closet. I’ve added more items and updated some photos of my older listings. I am trying to really make space within my studio, so hopefully all this work and effort helps.
I can’t wait to share my LUNAFEST experience in my next post. Hope you are having a great weekend and until next time,

I think it might be a good idea to do a quick little recap of what I did this past week. I had a really fun birthday last Wednesday and went out for a little golf and karaoke afterwards with Armando and some close friends. On Thursday I spent my day with fellow foodie and fashion blogger Chanda, and we did a lot of eating in SF. We started out with oysters from Swans Oyster Depot, and you can check out her post of the place here. We also stopped by Tartine’s Bakery, and I could not handle how yummy all the food was. It was a great start to my birthday weekend.
I don’t know how many of you have ever waited all day for UPS to deliver a package before, but that is basically how I spent my Friday. Armando and I had packed up for a weekend down in Salinas, but we were waiting for a package all day that never was delivered. I did receive it today, but I had ordered some customized party favors for my Mom’s 50th birthday party. I was bummed I didn’t get them on time, but I am still thinking of using them as thank you gifts for those that attended the party we had for her on Saturday.
Although the weekend started with this minor set back, I was really happy I was able to spend the long weekend with my family. My mom looked stunning for her party in a white DVF Zarita lace dress. She doesn’t have the same obsession with DVF as I do, but this dress is also one I have been thinking of investing in (but in black or navy.) Now that she has this dress though, I can’t wait to borrow it! We partied on Saturday and had people over at our house on Sunday, which felt like a continuation of the party.
On Monday, Armando and I packed up and headed back to the Bay Area so I could attend my aerial yoga class in SF. I was able to try it out thanks to this new service in the City called Class Pass. For $99 a month, you can take 10 classes at different studios enrolled in the program. So far, I’ve tried three classes: Spin/Yoga, Cardio Barre, and Aeriel Yoga. It has been fun trying new things, but commuting to the city to workout is definitely a challenge for me. I am glad I have been able to try this to see what types of classes I might be interested in pursuing further.
I guess my recap wasn’t that quick, but it was a pretty busy week for me. I decided to share this outfit from last month today because of the fun colors and equally fun jewelry. The jewelry is rented from Rocksbox, and I have to say their service is amazing! I loved all the pieces in my last set and I can’t wait to see what I’ll be getting in the mail later this week. I was given free membership for a few months, but I will be renewing it once that trial period expires. For $19 a month, it is worth it to have a rotating jewelry box. Right now you can try the first month free if you use my referral code here. am a big fan of the jewelry and that there is always the option to buy something you can’t send back.
Hope you enjoyed my recap of the week and until next time,

A new year and a new look. As a birthday wish, I asked Armando to help me redesign the blog’s site, and I am happy to see share this labor of love with you today.
I am 24 now, and I can’t believe how quickly the year went by! It feels like it was really only yesterday that I was writing up my own personal goals for my 23rd birthday. If you don’t remember that post, last year I wanted to spend more quality time with people I liked, become more financially aware, and travel more. I think I could still work on spending more time with people, especially calling my family more often. As for being financially aware, I’ve actually saved more than I thought I would. I took on paying not just my own student loans this year, but also the ones my parents took out and I have still managed to put away some money into savings every month. And, I went to Japan to visit my sister twice last year which is a lot more traveling than I had done in the past.
Now I have some new goals set for myself:
1) Be better with my body – I will readily admit I am pretty happy with my figure and never feel like going to the gym or working out, but it is about time I stick to some kind of exercise routine just because I would like some more energy and need the movement after sitting behind a desk all day. I think the key for me to stick to something is to experiment with different classes, and I think I will eventually find something I really enjoy doing that doesn’t feel like too much work.
2) Know when to let go – Sometimes I can become a hoarder and tend to accumulate a lot of things, whether it is clothes or cupcake stands. I’ve actually have been working on this for awhile, but this year I really hope to see more progress with less clutter. One day I want an apartment or house with a big closet, but until then, I have to keep letting things go and be a little bit more selective with what comes into my wardrobe or apartment.
3) Make others smile – I like to make people laugh and I think it is thanks to my dad that I have this easy going personality. I want to be able to do more for others, not only by giving something when I can, but also by baking more. I have not been baking as often, and while it  can be a lot of work, I love when I see people smile when I give them something I’ve made. I wasn’t able to make the cupcakes for this photo shoot, but next time I will have photos featuring cupcakes made by me. ( But these made me smile since they matched my outfit, so I hope you like them anyway.)
Thanks for following my blog and I hope you like the new changes. I am pretty excited about the new look and feel very inspired.  A very special thanks to Armando for all the work he put into the new design and all his patience when dealing with my requests and changes. His photos are always amazing to me and I look forward to more adventures together this year.
Until next time,

Lace Overlay

Luckily, I love to shop at Crossroads Trading Co. and I was very lucky to spot this black and white lace overlay shift dress. I love going through racks of clothes and finding hidden gems like this, but every now and then I like to shop for gently used items online.
My online thrift shopping has recently been enabled by thredUP. This Kate Spade bow belt was one of my first finds on the app brand new with tags. You can shop by designer or style for Women’s, Juniors, and Kids clothes either on their website or from the app. What is also great is you can sell your clothes through their site by ordering a clean out bag. I haven’t tried selling my clothes this way yet, but I love the items I have found so far on the app. I’ll keep you posted with more gems that I find there and if I decide to try selling any items.
Speaking of gems, I have also been pretty obsessed with Rocksbox. The earrings my stylist sent me were gorgeous and I envisioned pairing them with the orange belt. I think my look has just the right amount of color with the classic black and white dress and I love being able to experiment with the jewelry. I ended up buying the buckle bracelet. Currently Rocksbox is giving the first month free, so if you are interested in joining use my referral link here to take advantage of that offer.
Hope you are having a great weekend so far!

Breezy Blue

Regardless of how windy it can be, my hair and I will try to work with the wind enough to get a good shot.
This summer I’ve played around more with bright colors, and I was really excited to try out this blue asymmetrical top c/o LE TOTE. It’s a pretty turquoise, asymmetrical, and has these interesting cut-outs. Not something I would have found on my own, so I am lucky I have a fun stylist at LE TOTE picking out interesting pieces for me. It was the perfect material to wear for a windy/warm day, and the shape of it comes to life thanks to the wind. My white jeans are a Crossroads Trading Co. find, and when I spotted them last year I knew they would be perfect for summer days. I am a little surprised that summer is almost over, and I’ll have to go back wearing darker bottoms.  It makes me want to wear them as much as I can before the month ends, but I know I will just stick to dark bottoms because I am always afraid of getting that one noticeable stain on the day you decide to wear them. I’ll have to really convince myself they won’t get dirty to bravely wear them again (even though they are so comfortable!) Stay tuned to see if I decide to wear these again before I wait another year.
Hope you are having a great week and stay tuned for my first makeup review coming soon,Brandy| BLOGLOVIN | FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM |TUMBLR | TWITTER |

Black Widow

Black Cardigan and Red Bow Belt Forever 21 (similar belt here) | Grey and Black Patterned Dress Collective Concepts c/o LE TOTE | Black Patent Pigalle Heels Christian Louboutin (here)  | Wrapped Arrow Full Tilt (here) | Black Legacy Bag JUSTFAB! (here)Another look from my first LE TOTE box. I put my subscription on pause for awhile, but this first box makes me question why I ever did that in the first place. It’s like getting back together with your ex and appreciating the positive changes. This box was a big step up from the last one I had and it might be because LE TOTE partnered up with more brands. This patterned dress, by Collective Concepts, was great to wear for work and I really liked how the print reminded me of a spider web. I guess it could also look like concrete rocks, but I added a pop of red, which gave me the inspiration for the title Black Widow.

So far I have shared 4 out of the 5 items from my first box on my blog, and the last piece (a bracelet) should be featured for my outfit post next week. For my next few posts, I’ll be attempting to do my first make-up/beauty review and I’ll be sharing details from a recent tasting I did at Godiva that I attended last week. It was a delicious experience, and I can’t wait to share all the eye-candy with you.

Hope you are having a great week and until next time,
