40 Days of DVF: Day 30

Pink and Black Keena Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Gold Necklace Forever 21 | Green Clutch Banana Republic | Lorissa Spiked Heels Sam EdelmanTGIF! I can’t believe I only have 10 more days until my blog series is complete! I am so proud of myself for making it this far and for Armando being patient with me.
Today is typically every couples date night, and this outfit is something I would wear for a dinner downtown or to a more upscale bar. Out of all the dresses I’ve shared during this series, this dress is one of Armando’s favorites as he likes how it flatters my curves. The sleeves are also slightly see-through and the back shows some skin, but it is not overtly revealing. I am showing a lot of leg, so the long sleeves and high-neck balances that out.
This dress was another one of my Crossroads Trading Co. finds, this time from the one located on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. It was my first time visiting that Crossroads and I definitely was amazed with how big it was. I walked away with a lot of goodies – including the dress I wore for my first post in this blog series. I love how I can always find something at Crossroads, whether it is for work or for something a little more special.
Hope you enjoy this look and enjoy the last 10 I plan on sharing! Until tomorrow,

40 Days of DVF: Day 29

Black Demeta Dress Diane von Furstenberg (Buy here) | Belt H&M, Silver Wing Cuff  Forever 21 | Black Quilted Clutch Forever 21 (Buy here) | Silver Logan d’Orsay Heels Jimmy Choo | Jackie Ohh Sunglases  Ray-Bans
I’ve been sharing so many colorful outfits during this series that U have not had a chance to share any of the black dresses in my DVF collection. With only 11 days left, I am not sure I’ll be able to wear every piece, but I hope I can share a few more of my favorites. This dress was originally an eBay find, but I quickly discovered I own too many black dresses and this one never was worn after I purchased it.
Working on this series has pushed me to actually wear pieces I normally wouldn’t wear either because I am saving for a special occasion or because I don’t want it to rip/tear/or get stained. Sometimes my clothes are like a work of art and I sometimes just want them to be displayed. Having to try and wear everything again after not seeing something on myself for awhile has helped me determined what I should keep and what I should let go of.
This dress is one of those items I need to let go of, and while I like how it looks on, I have way too many black dresses (especially DVF black dresses.) Don’t get me wrong, I love the ruffle and pleated details on this clasic sheath, but it is also too cute to not be worn! It is listed on my closet on Poshmark in case you want to get your hands on it and can actually wear it. I have it styled with a clutch I also have listed for sale. I wanted to style this dress for a dinner date because of its classic shape with modern twists. Although I did not go out for dinner in this, (I stayed in to enjoy a yummy dinner made by Armando), this dress could work from going to a day at the office with different shoes and accessories to a romantic night out. I am all about versatile pieces and nothing is more versatile than a little black dress.
Thanks for checking out today’s post. See you tomorrow for Day 30!

40 Days of DVF: Day 28

Green Shell Silk Dress Diane von Furstenberg | Sunglasses Diane von Furstenberg | Tan Belt Vintage, Signature “C” Crossbody Bag Coach (Buy here) | Gold bracelets Forever 21 | Ring Crush on College | Gravee Blush Patent Sandals Steve Madden
I went to a baseball game today (Oakland A’s vs. the Detroit Tigers)  in Oakland with my coworkers, and I wore jeans and a sporty t-shirt to the Coliseum. Instead of sharing that outfit, I am sharing this outfit for my DVF series that also consists of the team colors of green and gold. I see this as more of a weekend dress that I could go to a a picnic in the park or beach in. I had this dress initially listed on Poshmark, but putting it on made me realize I wanted to keep it. I might change my mind again in the future, but for now it is in my keep pile. Green definitely compliments my skin tone/eyes, so it would be really hard to let this dress go. On the bright side, the Coach bag is also listed for sale on Poshmark in case you are interested.
Today’s post was a little late, but hopefully the photos for today’s outfit make up for it. See you tomorrow for Day 29.
P.S. In case you are wondering, the Oakland A’s won! Whoop-Whooo!

40 Days of DVF: Day 27

Pink, Yellow, Teal Dotted Top Diane von Furstenberg | Navy Shorts Momo wonderrocket.com, | Pink d’Orsay Flats Dolce Vita | White Leather Cross Body Bag Coach | Peacock Ring Forever 21 | Sunglasses DGAnother DVF post featuring some Crossroads finds. Both the top and flats are from two different Crossroads, but when I first saw the top I initially wasn’t so sure about it. I thought I could never be afraid of color, but for a brief moment I thought this top is way too loud. Then I tried it on, and the fit was too good and I do not regret bringing it home with me. I think keeping the rest of the outfit a little understated helped keep it from going overboard, but the print is pretty small so it isn’t overwhelming either. This is a fun look and I see myself wearing it again later in the summer running errands or going to an amusement park.
I am looking forward to this short work week, although it already felt like I had to do twice as much today since our office was closed yesterday. I am going to a baseball game tomorrow with my coworkers, but I will make sure to have my DVF post up before I go off to do that. See you tomorrow for Day 28!

40 Days of DVF: Day 26

Vintage Navy and White Striped Cardigan Diane von Furstenberg (Buy here) | Red Skater Dress Zara | Anchor Necklace Forever 21 | Vintage White Leather Cross Body Coach | Rose Gold Watch Marc by Marc Jacobs | Beatrix Gold Flats Sam EdelmanHappy Memorial Day!
I had today off from work and Armando finished school last week, so today was dedicated to just spending time together. We hopped in his Mini early this morning and made our way to the Paragon Livermore Outlets. I don’t share my shopping hauls on my blog, but I will admit to buying the Marc by Marc Jacobs watch today along with some Ghiradelli Chocolate.
After our shopping trip, we visited the Subpar Mini Golf Center in Alameda. Armando and I can get pretty competitive, and it showed as we were very attentive in keeping score. In the end he won 55-53, and I treated him (and myself) to some ice cream from Tucker’s Ice Cream Shop up the street from the mini-golf course. We walked along Park Street and he and I are both interested in coming back to try a couple of the restaurants on this street.
Today was really fun and I am amazed we were able to do all the things we did. We fit this outfit shoot by Alameda City Hall after our walk and we were both pretty tired afterwards. My cardigan is the featured DVF piece for today, and I went with a nautical look thanks to the white stripe detail.  It is a vintage piece and I like how it works with my trendier red Zara dress. I have this cardigan listed for sale on Poshmark, but it is also one of those pieces I might change my mind from selling and keep. 😉
Hope you enjoyed your Monday (whether you had a day off or not), and I will see you tomorrow.

40 Days of DVF: Day 25

Orange Angea Dress Diane von Furstenberg (Buy here) | Denim Jacket Heritage 1981 | Signature C Tote Coach | Belt unknown | Gold Earrings Forever 21 | Gravee Blush Patent Sandals Steve MaddenToday was nothing like the lazy Sunday I tend to look forward to. I was busy this morning taking care of this photo shoot, cleaned the apartment and then went for a bike ride. The front wheel of my bike blew out the day after Bike to Work Day and not even days after Armando had patched it up, I experienced another flat today. I managed to get pretty far from my apartment, but walking back with my bike wasn’t too bad. My goal was to get a workout in and that proved to be effective.
Today’s DVF outfit post features a fun summer dress that I actually have listed for sale in my closet on Poshmark. Despite it being in my typical size range, I feel the straps are a little too long for me and they tend to fall down more often than I’d like. I added the belt to define my waist, but also to keep the dress up in the event the straps slipped passed my shoulders. Other than that, it is a beautiful color and pops against the jean jacket. I am also wearing a pair of flats I found earlier this week at Marshall’s that I have never tried before. I am not a big fan of sandals, but I feel I finally found a pair that works for me. The heatwaves we’ve experienced in the Bay Area was also the other reason I made an effort to really find a good pair of sandals.
Hope you like my weekend look in this dress and check out my listing on Poshmark if you want to make it yours. (I’d recommend moving fast since I might change my mind seeing how great it looks!) See you tomorrow!
