Cardigan, Pants, and Necklace Forever 21 | Pink Silk Marston Top Diane Von Furstenberg (here) | Black Peep Toe Patent Wedges Steve Madden Today I felt like I needed an easy breezy look. Something pulled together, but not restrictive when it came to movement. It was cold this morning as well, I wasn’t in the mood to wear any of my dresses.
Enter this versatile and voluminous pink top. I have worn in tucked into a skirt, but I must say I love the casual vibe it gives off by being untucked. I can also wear it with a black sash to give it an empire waist effect! This top is super cute and one of my finds from Crossroads Trading Co. I love that I can find such high end pieces there on a budget and can incorporate them with my finds from Forever 21.

Ruched Skirt

For some reason it curled a little in front, but it still looked like I did that on purpose.
This morning was really stressful, but luckily things were resolved by the end of lunch. Tomorrow will be even better as I plan to go to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert! Woo Hoo! Look out for another edgy look Wednesday (unless I can post it tomorrow by some miracle).

Color Block

It is a lot of color where almost nothing really goes together at first glance. Then you see the necklace and the rest of the outfit makes sense. I do like that it is slightly hidden because once people noticed it they were like “Whoa!”
This necklace is not new, but I find it to be a timeless piece that can always tie together an outfit. The colors really say look-at-me in a good way. Now to find a way to wear them where they are the center of the outfit and not competing with the colors of the dress or cardigan!

Lace Skirt

Black Shrug, Black Lace Skirt, and Black Vintage InspiredNecklace Forever 21 | Silk Tank J.Crew | Black Patent Peep-Toe Wedges Steve Madden | Black Tote Bag Mulberry for TargetA late night post due to some cupcake making. I am experimenting with candied bacon and maple frosting.
Speaking of experiments, I got my hair cut and am trying out the fringe bangs. I think it will take some time to get used to them (and learning how to style them), but so far I have received a positive response for them. If I really don’t like it I can always pin the short hairs back. It will grow back after all. 
This skirt is near and dear to my heart. I have had it since my first year at Cal, and it has served me well. In my Press tab you can see another way I wore the skirt, and it was what caught the original attention of Brittany from Work it, Berk. Take a look and see how different I looked as well! Feeling like I have grown up since then, and stopped wearing all black.
I love the other elements I mixed into today’s look as well. The J. Crew silk tank is a thrifted find and it had the original tags still attached!

I cannot get enough of the Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dresses! They just know how to hug ones body and emphasize a small waist! I am planning on going back to the pool and swimming more often, but its nice to know a wrap dress will only highlight your assets. 
Seeing as Fall is right around the corner and I am making a resolution to work out, I actually have updated my hair for the new season as well. The new do will be unveiled in tomorrow’s post, so stay tuned!
