Brunch in San Francisco

Leather Bomber Jacket, Gemstone Necklace and Multi Color bracelets Forever 21 | Top Diane Von Furstenberg | White Denim Jeans Vanilla Star | Gold Metallic Peep-toe Flats Christian Louboutin Another day in SF, this time for brunch at the Palace Hotel on New Montgomery Street. This was part 2 of Mando’s birthday weekend, and I must say it was quite an awesome breakfast! It was an all-you can eat buffet with delicious food and we were eating in their gorgeous hall where breakfast and afternoon tea is served. Next time we come to San Francisco we will need to do a photo shoot in the hotel because the lobby and entrance are simply stunning!
Afterwards we headed to Pier 39 in an effort to compare different cameras. I am on the hunt, and thanks to Mando’s tips, I am more aware of what features I want on a camera and how I can use mine more effectively until I make my purchase. Overall, he had a good time this weekend and to me that is all that matters.

Wrap Top

Vintage Print Wrap Top Diane Von Furstenberg | Pencil Skirt and Tiger Bracelet Forever 21 (similar skirt here) | Black Bag Mulberry for Target | Black Patent Ulltra Heels Steve Madden | Black Princess Coat Steve Madden (here)I am so glad it is almost Friday just because work has been so overwhelming. Our office is undergoing some major changes that we have currently been preparing for. I enjoy busy work days over slow ones because it helps time past by faster (and is not as boring), but at the same time it almost tires me out by the end of the day that all I have energy for is taking a photo and uploading it. I am glad it has become a habit, but little by little I hope to improve what I write about as well as the photos that I post. Outdoor photos are a lot better than the ones in my apartment since the old building I live in has poor lighting to begin with. Bare with me as I am currently camera shopping and will more than likely buy a new one at the beginning of next month.
I found this wrap top this last weekend at Crossroads Trading Co., along with a few other goodies, and I just love mixing things from used clothing stores with items I purchased brand new. I also prefer outfits with a variety of designers/labels as opposed to everything coming from the same store. That is when outfits become special, or unique, in my opinion.

Changes are a coming! I have changed my blog around by adding past articles, and intend to add more samples of writing. Lately I have not had time to really write about my day, or the stories behind my clothes, and have only been able to post the photos of an outfit. It has been about 3 months since my first post, and I am very proud of the fact that I have been able to be consistent in terms of when I add a new post and made it a habit. While a lot of the things I started off with have changed, my goal has remained the same. I am trying to improve my writing, and share my personal style.
Today’s outfit is a little plain, and the coat is actually one thing my sister was letting go of during our spring cleaning. I immediately snatched it up knowing it would be a great basic that could go with many things. I love how it has just the right amount of volume, and the zipper detail by the pocket is kind of edgy. My favorite part of the outfit, however, is the umbrella. I like how Coach factory stores have umbrellas for like $30 and allow for one to own a bit of luxury at an affordable price (compared to their purses). The Coach purse I have on me is actually another item cleaned out of my mom’s closet, and all I could day is score! I will definitely be utilizing it with the coming spring weather. My own cleaning is still a work in progress, but I am also on a really tight budget in order to save up for a new camera, luggage, and travel money for the summer. I just have to be more creative with what I have, and very strict about what comes in my closet. And while it might sound daunting, that is actually a fun challenge I have eagerly accepted!

Every year for Easter while growing up, my parents would dress my sister and I in floral dresses and take our photos by wisteria plants. We lived in a house that had a huge backyard, and our easter egg hunts were very intense. But once I was in middle school, we moved, and were not able to take pictures by wisteria trees. Luckily we planted a tree and some bloomed. It is not as magnificent as the ones we used to have, and the backyard we have now is not as big, but the memories we made were just as important as the ones in the past. Wisteria’s are my favorite flower, and I am glad to bring back that tradition we had in our current home.
