Red Skirt

There is something about red that is so alluring! I wanted to try something new, and I rarely (if ever) wear lip gloss/lip stick/ lip stains. I’m just no good when it comes to applying make-up. I think this color worked well for me.
My outfit was mistaken as a dress, but the red in the top goes so well with the skirt! This is one of my favorite outfits because it is cute and can work for a picnic, lunch, garden party, or even going to a flea market while riding a nice bike! Unfortunately I used it for work, but then again it brightened people’s day with all the color I bring to the office.
I realize I had to keep accessories minimal because of the bright lips and bright colors on my outfit. It made me wonder if I could pull of lip stick with something else. What would you wear lipstick with?

Flea Market

More like 3 hours because it was a lazy Sunday. Today’s outfit wasn’t entirely fit for the warm weather, but it worked when it cooled in the afternoon.
I went with Mando and my sister, and we found a nice amount of goodies. My 2 favorite finds were a Kitchen Aid handheld mixer for $10 and a cupcake carrier for only $8. I love a good deal, and I am a firm believer that haggling for the best deal is a good way to practice negotiation skills. I think a lot of the time people are afraid of asking for a lower price, but even a dollar or 2 off is a good start to saving money.

Varsity Jacket

Letterman jacket Divided by H&M | Black T-Shirt Wet Seal | Ripped Jeans Forever 21 | Sneakers ConverseBack at home and it was a cold day, so I felt the need to dress warm and be laid back while I helped my dad clean out the garage.
I know the collegiate look was in last fall, but I could not help wearing something so easy to wear! it is a style staple to me, and it doesn’t hurt that it has the initial of my first name! I wore a Letterman jacket for my senior photo in high school, and when I was voted “Most Busiest” in order to capture all the things I was involved in. Although with that look I wore heels, so there are many options when wearing a Letterman jacket. Today I tried to go along with a relaxed, but busy, day.
I think the classic pair of Converse and ripped jeans really complete the look, don’t you?

Alameda County Fair

It was quite hot, and I feel silly for wearing a jacket, but it makes my outfit! I feel like it is appropriate for the setting. I feel like I just need a couple musicians behind me and I’d be ready to lead a parade!
Mando and I walked around and had some festival food. My favorite was an ice cream dipped in chocolate and coated in almonds and toffee. Yum!
Maybe next time we will go again better prepared because going to the fair was a spontaneous decision. We will need more cash if we want to go on rides and really eat to our heart’s content.

Cool

I know I did, and I can’t help but feel cool in this outfit. (And no it is not because I am next to the ice chest).
Another weekend gone and back in the bay area. Time to prepare for another week at work with a few new outfits!

Cannery Row

I had such a great day. I spent the early afternoon with my best friend from high school shopping at our local Savers. I had come home to Salinas for the weekend, and was so glad we could hang out for a bit like back in the day. This store was one of the first I thrifted at, and with her as my shopping buddy. We looked for stuff that would be cool to use for our high school’s spirit days, but today I found a lot of great pieces that will come in handy for work!
Afterwards I headed to Cannery Row with my sister to meet up with Armando at Cannery Row in Monterey for food and black light mini golf at Oceans 18. We ate at Bubba Gump and played 18 rounds with Armando winning.
My outfit went from shopping, to dinner, to having fun playing mini golf. I think my necklace was right on point for this trip by the ocean!
