Rain Jacket

Flower Print Nylon Jacket Rodarte for Target, Pink Bow Headband, Flower Ring, and  Jeans Forever 21, Pink Sweater top Trouve, Pink Suede Kaylee Boots Steve Madden
Happy Sunday Everyone! This is actually my outfit from Saturday,   I wore all black today since I was going to be riding BART home.

As you can see, I have a cute furry guest in my photos. This is Bella and she is my sister’s puppy. She had come down with a cold last weekend and during that photo shoot she was lying down, but this weekend she had her energy back and was running around chasing the leaves. Holding her was the only we we could get my photo of my outfit without a blur of white running around. I noticed my ring is missing a stone now, probably because of Bella, but that will be an easy fix! Isn’t she the most adorable Westie you have ever seen?
The sun came out for a bit Saturday, but it was foggy for most of the day. I don’t know how I feel about the rain coming this week, but this rain jacket is actually very thin so perfect for a foggy day- not so much for heavy rain. I love the kimono inspired print and I snagged this beautiful jacket on eBay. Its great not only to find an item you might have missed out on (especially for Target or H&M collaborations), but also as a way of recycling clothes!

Pink Cardigan

Rose Pink Cardigan Charlotte Russe | Rose Print Top and Birdcage Necklace Forever 21 | Jeans Stella McCartney | Pink Ballet Flats Steve Madden
I did not get a chance to take my photo on Thursday, but to sum up it was a combination of this top and this skirt. I wore a long, black cardigan instead of the pink one and I wore my usual black patent Steve Madden pumps. I loved how tucking in tops to the tutu skirt makes everyone believe it is a dress! I enjoyed the look a lot, so maybe I will wear it again to document it here.
Friday’s outfit is more relaxed. This snug, pink cardigan is very cozy and I am proud I pulled this look together in less than 5 minutes. It is date-worthy, brunch worthy, and baby-sitting appropriate. The colors are soft, and feminine, but the jeans say I can still run around and play!

Laundry Day

Black Pea Coat, Black Leggings, Studded Belt, and Silver Stud Bracelet Forever 21 | Pink Bondage Dress Stella McCartney |  Infinity Scarf Missoni for Target | Grey Suede Boots BambooAs my title indicates, I spent my Sunday doing laundry. I wanted to be dressed in something comfortable as I  take my laundry across and come back to my apartment and continue my eBay posting.  Unfortunately I am not close to finished, but it is coming along.
I am really proud of my outfit today because it is a complete mesh of two other outfits I have worn here and here. Often times I am more interested in reinventing what I already have as opposed to buying a completely new outfit. I can’t resist shopping, but it is an extra pat on the back knowing I can be a little creative.
Hope you had a good weekend and are rested for another wonderful week! Now to get back to posting my clothes on eBay!

Oscar de la Renta Scarf

Cream Bomber Jacket Forever 21 | Printed Silk Scarf Oscar de la Renta | Black Top Wet Seal | Blue Jeans J Brand | Tan Suede Hoops Boots Steve Madden | Speedy 25 Bag Louis Vuitton | Seahorse Double Ring via Crossroads Trading Co.New scarf! And a new purse!
The scarf is actually thrifted from a Savers, and you will not believe how much I paid for it.
$1.99
Score! This scarf was a steal, and I was super excited with this find. It has an amazing pattern and soft, silky texture.
Today’s look has a lot going on, but because it is all in the same color pallete, it works. Colorful scarves can be a good start to an outfit because the rest of the pieces can easily fall into place from colors of the print. My new purse can be attributed to my friend Jessica helping her sister clean out her closet and Mando still looking for the ideal birthday present. This is my first day using it, and so far it fits just the essentials plus my camera. Super excited with my gift and hopefully putting it to more use with other outfits!

Infinity Scarf

Black Peacoat, Black Pants, and Panda Ring Forever 21 | Infinity Scarf Missoni for Target | Grey Suede Boots BambooI am doing a lot better, but not quite over my cold. While I am not a fan of being sick, I am kind of  glad to have had the time off to relax and really just rest. Doing nothing is so underrated, especially in such a fast-paced world we live in. It was nice to slow down and really just relax.
I wanted to dress cozy, and as seen from my last post, an essential piece for Fall weather is an infinity scarf! This adds instant style cred and keeps your neck warm. This particular scarf is from Missoni’s line for Target. I love the black, white, and grey print (especially because I wear so much black!)

Dress as a Top

Raspberry Pink Cardigan, Tan Bow Flats, and Pink Bow Ring Forever 21 | Yellow and Pink Ruffle Dress (worn as top) Rebecca Taylor | Blue Skinny Jeans J BrandThis is a very strange blog post, and it is exactly what you think. My top is actually a dress and I have worn it before here. Tucking the dress in these jeans and having my hair pulled back gave off a retro vibe (I was aiming for a seventies look with the bright colored “top”).

Often times when people think of wearing a dress again, changing the accessories is the first thought when it comes to reworking it. This post shows there is always the option of tucking into a pair of jeans, or into a skirt, for an entirely new look. Perfect if you are on a budget or traveling and need to to rework the clothes you have packed with you.
