Varsity Jacket

Letterman jacket Divided by H&M | Black T-Shirt Wet Seal | Ripped Jeans Forever 21 | Sneakers ConverseBack at home and it was a cold day, so I felt the need to dress warm and be laid back while I helped my dad clean out the garage.
I know the collegiate look was in last fall, but I could not help wearing something so easy to wear! it is a style staple to me, and it doesn’t hurt that it has the initial of my first name! I wore a Letterman jacket for my senior photo in high school, and when I was voted “Most Busiest” in order to capture all the things I was involved in. Although with that look I wore heels, so there are many options when wearing a Letterman jacket. Today I tried to go along with a relaxed, but busy, day.
I think the classic pair of Converse and ripped jeans really complete the look, don’t you?

Juicy Couture Coat

Another cold day! It even rained in the morning, so my only goal was to dress in something warm and cozy. This lovely thrifted coat from a local Goodwill did just the trick. I have worn everything else in this post before except the jacket, which is why I figured it merited the title of today’s post.
It is interesting to me that I chose to pair navy and black again, but as you can see it is clearly a different style than the outfit worn yesterday. I am very cozy in this outfit, and it is an appropriate outfit to run errands in, go shopping, or cuddle up at home on a cold day while watching a movie or reading a book.
While I enjoy sunny days since I can wear dresses and skirts, I love being able to wear coats and boots and feel the cold air on my face. But since its summer, lets just see if the weather won’t get its act together and let the sun come out before noon!

I know I did, and I can’t help but feel cool in this outfit. (And no it is not because I am next to the ice chest).
Another weekend gone and back in the bay area. Time to prepare for another week at work with a few new outfits!

Cannery Row

I had such a great day. I spent the early afternoon with my best friend from high school shopping at our local Savers. I had come home to Salinas for the weekend, and was so glad we could hang out for a bit like back in the day. This store was one of the first I thrifted at, and with her as my shopping buddy. We looked for stuff that would be cool to use for our high school’s spirit days, but today I found a lot of great pieces that will come in handy for work!
Afterwards I headed to Cannery Row with my sister to meet up with Armando at Cannery Row in Monterey for food and black light mini golf at Oceans 18. We ate at Bubba Gump and played 18 rounds with Armando winning.
My outfit went from shopping, to dinner, to having fun playing mini golf. I think my necklace was right on point for this trip by the ocean!

Chandelier Feather Earrings

Such a specific blog post title, I know, but the earrings pretty much inspired the rest of my outfit for today. All the items I have worn before except for the earrings, and a big reason is because I actually struggled pairing them with what was in my closet. These are not really bohemian and don’t feel like everyday earrings, so I love the effect they have when paired with the ponytail and shades of grey.
This is one of my favorite outfits so far, and it made me sad to have to change for my workout at the pool. I am proud to say I jumped in and swam 1000 yards (40 times up and down) without taking any breaks. I feel so proud of myself! So far I’ve gone 3 times this week, but today’s workout felt so satisfying! I believe I swam 1400 yards total, so I know since Monday I will keep improving.
