Pink Cardigan Charlotte Russe | Bunny Print Dress Erin Fetherston for Target | Natasha Petal to the Metal Cross Body Black Leather Bag and Wallet Marc by Marc Jacobs | Nude Ruffle Flats Steve Madden | Bangles Forever 21 | Silver Rabbit Ring Crossroads Trading Co.
After my last post I feel it is time to lighten up the mood with a quirky patterned dress and the latest additions to my wardrobe. I wore this dress last Easter as seen here and only changed the shoes and the bangles. This look was a lot more casual, but still flirty with the ruffle flats and colorful arm candy.
Accessories can really help reinvent an outfit, and I am happy to introduce the newest member to my handbag collection: my Marc Jacobs Natasha Petal to the Metal Cross Body aka the “grandma bag” as nicknamed by Mando. I’ve coveted this bag for about 2 years now, but could never bring myself to pay full price for it at Nordstrom. After finally being hired full-time at the office and imagining countless outfits I could have used it with I finally took the plunge and purchased this bag on eBay. I found a great deal for this authentic bag and soon after the wallet followed. It always amazes me that when it comes to designer handbags, the wallet will cost just as much as the purse! I got my wallet for a good deal on eBay as well, and I am glad to have found a wallet that matches a majority of my black handbags.
I am very excited to own this bag and love the size. I was hesitant to make the purchase before, but I can tell I will be using this for awhile. I also appreciate its modest size. It forces me to not carry more than I need and really makes me reconsider what is essential. And last but not least, I adore the gold plated sparrows! Mando does not find my bag cute hence the “grandma bag” nickname, but then again he isn’t the one using it (nor does he have a fashion blog so his point is mute). I collect animal jewelry, but it seems to be branching off onto my clothes and other accessories. I am quite content with this transition, but he might not be too thrilled. He thought this outfit was cute, so maybe he is okay with all the animal theme items I own.
Hope your week has been great so far!

Summer
Flats and Pleats
Navy and Black Top Stella McCartney | Black Cardigan and Bangles Forever 21 | High Waisted Pleated Black Skirt Zac Posen for Target | Beatrix Black Spike Flats Sam EdelmanHappy Friday!
This week has been very long and I am looking forward to relaxing a little this weekend in order to face work head-on come Monday morning. There is a huge project that I am working on at the office that has started to creep its way into my dreams, which is both scary and slightly fascinating. If I can come up with a way to work smarter and not harder that would be too good to be true!
Luckily, some things just come to me on the spot, like this outfit. I knew I wanted to wear my new flats that arrived the day before. I am a huge fan of the Beatrix flat by Sam Edelman, and now I have them in black. I also own them in pink, gold, black and ivory, and grey. The are very comfortable because of the cushion inside, and they are not tight like most flats that are gathered. I also love how sweet they look and have a slight edge with the spikes.
I opted to wear this amazing pleated skirt from Zac Posen’s collaboration with Target with my Stella McCartney top tucked in. I love how this gave the illusion to a number of people that I was wearing a dress. I tied the look together with my simple black cardigan and some arm candy. Navy and black is such a classic combination, and I especially like how simple the look is overall. The small details make a big statement and I am very glad to have been able to pick this outfit on the fly. (I usually have a mental idea of what I am wearing the night before so I am not scrambling in the morning with nothing to wear.) It is amazing how adding one item allows you to see your wardrobe a little differently.
Feliz Dia de las Madres to all the moms out there and until next time,

Floral Print Wrap Dress
Floral Print Wrap Dress Diane Von Furstenberg, Yellow Blazer Fendi, Floral Print Purse Coach Poppy, Black Patent Ulltra Pumps Steve Madden, Pink Bow Headband Forever 21This is my third time wearing this wrap dress since starting this blog, and I never get tired of it! The only differences from the last time I wore this beauty is my hair and the bright pink headband.
I love floral prints (as you can see from my purse and dress), and the classic black and white combo with a touch of yellow and pink made purchasing this dress a no-brainer. It was one of my eBay splurges, but well worth it since I wore it often enough for the summer. It was a very warm day today, and its expected to be this way tomorrow too. Even though I feel I can dress cuter when it is warmer, I almost didn’t get my photo taken for my post because of the time change! Luckily I made it home right away in order to have it taken by a skilled photographer. At this rate though, I am going to have to get used to taking my outfit of the day photos earlier.
Teal Dress
Teal Dress, Necklace, and Ring Forever 21 | Metallic Gold Peep-Toe Flats Christian Louboutin | Bag UnknownTGIF! Today it was really muggy and cold, but Thursday was unusually warm. This is my Thursday outfit and it is fitting I post this instead of my Friday outfit because I dressed in my Cal Gear for the Big Game Rally tonight!
I wanted a simple look with this dress which called for minimal jewelry and hair up in a bun. I have worn the dress before here, and I like both looks equally. This is a classic cut dress and can be worn multiple ways. It really suited the weather today and I felt very nice and cool walking out to lunch.
Hope you had a fabulous Friday and have a wonderful weekend planned!
And of course, lets cheer Cal on to win the Ax back from Stanford tomorrow! Go Bears! Brandy| BLOGLOVIN | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM |TUMBLR | TWITTER |
Breast Cancer Awareness
Floral Print Dress LC Lauren Conrad, Raspberry Pink Cardigan and Pink Bow Forever 21, Panda Charm Necklace Betsey Johnson, Sunglasses Emporio Armani , Pink Studded Flats Sam Edelman, Bag Unknown
Dusty Rose Pink.
That would have been another title to this blog post, but because it is Pink October and I wore a mostly pink outfit, I decided to dedicate this post to raise awareness and encourage everyone to do what they can for Breast Cancer research. No endorsement received from anyone for saying that, but just my way of promoting a good cause.
Wednesdays are also typically my girly days, and I wanted to look feminine and still feel comfortable on an unusually warm day. Dressing up and going to class was actually possible! I cannot get enough of my Sam Edelman Pink Beatrix flats! I have one in almost every color, and they are some of the most comfortable flats! Love that these pink ones are sweet, but the spikes add some edge. Also liking these Armani sunglasses. Not my usual choice because I prefer hiding behind my sunglasses, but I like how its reflective look goes with the rest of my outfit.
My Wednesdays post will always be late because of my late class, but hope you enjoy the outfit!
Pink Cardigan
Rose Pink Cardigan Charlotte Russe | Rose Print Top and Birdcage Necklace Forever 21 | Jeans Stella McCartney | Pink Ballet Flats Steve Madden
I did not get a chance to take my photo on Thursday, but to sum up it was a combination of this top and this skirt. I wore a long, black cardigan instead of the pink one and I wore my usual black patent Steve Madden pumps. I loved how tucking in tops to the tutu skirt makes everyone believe it is a dress! I enjoyed the look a lot, so maybe I will wear it again to document it here.
Friday’s outfit is more relaxed. This snug, pink cardigan is very cozy and I am proud I pulled this look together in less than 5 minutes. It is date-worthy, brunch worthy, and baby-sitting appropriate. The colors are soft, and feminine, but the jeans say I can still run around and play!
